Image sizes

Why are photos limited on this site? Of all the forums I have belonged to this is the only board I have ever run into that doesn't resize images. Especially when hosted elsewhere and linked via [img] tag...? As far as I recall phpBB has the ability to do it... soPlease allow the board resize images instead of forcing members to resize every image just to post it. I have a bunch of how to's, modifications, trips, etc that I'd love to post but re-sizing every image manually, then hosting it as a duplicate on my server seems silly...

Because there was a major complaint at one time about all the "hey, check out my new Delica" images posted and after a period of time for the file to load up you got to see a detailed image of the wagon, one lug nut at a time. This is why we put a limit on it.

On older boards I can understand as they would not auto resize leaving slower connections struggling to keep up with massively over sized images. Also the board was substantially more active in the past no? Might I suggest putting a cap on the amount of images per post and removing the image size limit for linked images?
Being able to post up photos from events and such also helps keep a board active and members engaged.

I too think that need to be improved...I did tried recently and even with common/suggested file format, it did not worked......
My suggestion: Have an auto-resized integrated sub-software that, whatever you put in, will be shrink to the "appropriated" sizing. just like some other website.
