NO ROUTE FOUND !!!!!!!!

Post by lrp374 »

The example below is one of many I tried to use from older posts in the Technical section. Can this be fixed or is there a way around it?

No route found for "GET /re-indexing-torsion-bars-for-front-lift-4051.html"

A whole bunch of content and links seem to be missing. I have had to use google to search the forums for past posts.

YES, copy the body (Subject) of the message in the broken link, in that case:

re-indexing-torsion-bars-for-front-lift

Paste it in the forum search tool (case) and it shall show up if it is not in the first page it will be somewhere in the results. Once you found it you can put it in your favorite for future uses :o

This happened when the server changed on us and it is rather annoying. I'm actually meeting with Mark today and we are going to set in place a plan that will remedy this issue (over an undisclosed period of time). This will take a little time as it's going to be link by link as we come across them. Perhaps we will start a thread in this forum for people to post every time they come across a broken link and we can work this together and restore DC to the excellent resource site that it is.

Okay.

After long deliberation at the Admin AGM (aka Black Bear Public House) We've figured it out. Sort of. We've sussed out the problem and now we are working around the clock (hahahahaha) toward a permanent solution.

In the meantime, for a temporary fix, should you come across one of these dead links, such as "No route found for "GET /re-indexing-torsion-bars-for-front-lift-4051.html"" ~ then do this: Look up to the address bar, replace everything after the ? (www. delica.ca/forum/viewtopic.php?) with "t=4051", which will give you: http://www.delica.ca/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4051

I was just wondering if the "quick fix" is all we're going to get. It is a PITA each time this problem comes up as I need to go back to this post to find the solution. Just checking in case you've run out of things to fix or add!! :-)
