I'm in Calgary 92 black over grey Chamonix.
I'm in Calgary now..(waiting for work to start) made the 890km journey out from the coast 2 days ago.. my Delica ran like a champ.. and didnt go as slow as i would have thought on some of the steeper hills.. nothing under 65kms hr.. just turn off the O/D and kept her between 2700 - 3200 rpms.. which is fast compared to some of the commercial stuff i have moved up the highway where you could get out and walk faster..
but for the most part i was in OD and could gain speed up inclines..
she didnt use any oil either which is a good sign.. no change in the level from when i left to when i arrived..
Who else has a Delica in Calgary??
peace.. and happy New Year!!!!!!

I can usually maintain 70... but 90-110 up the mountain passes just isn't going to happen. just relax and enjoy the tripnothing under 65kms hr.
funny, my friends all bug me about how slow the Delica is, and yet every time we go anywhere they want us to take the Delica....
ooo!!! ooo!!! me! pick me! ;)Who else has a Delica in Calgary??
I would guess that there are now about 20 Delicas in the city... of which we've ever managed to get 4 out to a meet at once...

Oh ya dood.. i tell ya driving a Delica gives you a ticket to drive slow.. heh.. i enjoy the cruise for sure.. But i get the itch to climb over random things with it though.. curbs etc.. and keen for the spring when i have the time to build a bed in the back.. w00t.
I'm down in the SW right now..

Were you driving to Calgary on New Years Eve. Saw a Delica somewhere between Golden and Revelstoke - Flashed lights (probably too dirty to see) and waved.

Re: I'm in Calgary 92 black over grey Chamonix.
I just got my Delica up and running compliance wise, sure is nice to drive around Calgary with a license plate instead of those 'in transit' stickers on the front.
There certainly isn't too much of a rush when you drive these things. It seems like other people aren't too bothered either which is nice. Gives them more time to gawk I suppose.
I'm close to down town, and I'd be down for some driving over things as well... the urge to off road is hard to satisfy inside the city, anyone have any suggestions for routes close to town?
