So this is the SECOND conversion you are making for the intended Canadian market? Prices in American dollars, and distances in miles (considering the JDMs are keeping track in kilometers).

? :?: ?

The GMC Typhoon was never originally sold in Canada. It was sold in the USA, therefore the odometer is in MILES. All the other vehicles on the website are in KM's as clearly stated on each vehicle page.

The currency on the website can be changed by selecting "Canadian Dollar" in the currency drop-down on the right side. It is an accurate rate that we get from http://www.xe.com and is updated daily.

I hope this clears up some confusion.

As a business posting in this forum, it would be beneficial to yourself/your business to provide as detailed answers to legitimate questions regarding the vehicles you intend to sell.

You are promoting your business here in this forum.

I suggest you provide as clear and concise information and responses possible.

That will be a positive action on your behalf.

With that said, the confusion over the US currency still exists.

As a consistent buyer (many Delica's / JDM's) I am always pursing purchasing options.

You are offering, what appears to be a good product at a competitive price.

However, you are on a Canadian forum, your customer base is Canadian and your company is Canadian.

A justified question : why are you posting in USD currency ?

It would make sense to have your cart setup in CND currency by default instead of USD currency.

That way the people browsing your site don't have to manually go to the pull-down menu and select the Canadian currency.

Another question. You said that that rate is updated daily.

Does that mean your price will change from one day to the next ?

Jesse

Can you explain why your Canadian company is using USD currency as a base instead of CND currency ?

It should be the opposite.

The Canadian dollar value remains constant while the USD currency fluctuates.

That is unless you are targeting American buyers instead of Canadian buyers in which case you are advertising on the wrong forum. This is a Canadian forum.

not to beat a dead horse but if you are based in Canada, sell mostly to Canadians and can't sell to the states, shouldn't the CAD prices stay the same the USD prices vary with the exchange rate?

Since when did the inquisition against other dealers start on this sate. This is one of our nastiest threads yet and the guy just posted his website. If you don't like his pricing or website go use some one else. I saw nothing in the original post to elicit such a public assault.

Just my nickel,

James

people look for honesty in a dealer, he says the company is Canadian and deals with Canadians mainly but their base currency is USD? I'm interested in why that would be as I can't think of a good reason for it.

If you buy and ship in US dollars, yours costs are set in US dollars the the Canadian rate changes will vary the price here. I actually didn't go to the site because I'm not in the buying mood.
