Whats new for '97 ?

Post by Artacoma »

My new LWB series 2 gasser that whats new!
This is my 3rd Delica
Just picked it up from CCA on friday , 43,000 km
It's just a space gear , doesn't say exceed anywhere
Has power side door step ... very cool...
And of course it has a stock ...... Proximity Detector !!!!!.......
I know it's what you have all been clamoring for , well it's finally here!
Also stock remote lock with a working key fob.
And an upholstery pattern that makes you think the carpet machine was sick and puked all over your van.
2" lift with heavy duty springs and stainless hd adjustable pan hard bar ,
16" rims ( slight rubbing with new tires)
Slot for gas card? toll card?
Special fancy setting for interior lights
I'm still finding more cool new stuff

That's a sharp looking delica, and a gasser as well! Slight bias here, as I drive one too. If you crank up the front the tires shoudn't rub at all.
Have fun

Shazam! That's a sexy beast. Proximity alarm in center pod scores big geek points.

I would echo the extra points for 4-corner-proximity detectors - my Nissan has got them only on the rear bumper, and it's 13 years newer - what's up with that?

A nice change. I think you'll like the response from the gasser engine. I'm still driving as genteel as I was in Monty, but the extra power sure is nice. Especially at highway speed.

What's a 'fancy'? I get the 'door' and the 'room' buttons, but what's the third one for?

Very nice. The slide out slider door step is so "fancy" :-) I had a visit from FishTank last summer and he parked up beside me and the difference in size between a LWB and a SWB is very noticable. I thought my van was big, but the LWB looks monsterous. I really like the new van man.
