91' Pajero: The Highway Queen!

Post by .:FoRuM56:. »

Figured I would throw up a few recent pics in the proper section!
No doubt it's classified as a Highway Queen, In the past year I've driven well over 40,000kms!

I wasn't impressed with the dyno, It was very rushed and the first run was the only one documented (friends told me I made more power on the 2nd pull, but it wasn't documented so it doesn't count!). The pull was made in 5th gear with the 35's on, so I didn't expect much to begin with lol.

Ohhh Yeah!
You can see the bump where the methanol comes on-line, not much but it is noticeable on the road, even with such a small nozzle.

Did I mention the Pajero has 300,000kms on it!!
I like to think I keep it maintained fairly well...Hence the Highway Queen!
Always run a bit of 2-stroke oil through each tank. Helps to smooth out the idle.

Fancy LED Button!! Primary relay bypass for the glow plugs, Tried to find something that matched the gauge cluster.
The HKS Turbo Timer, lots of highway driving under boost warrants a bit of cool down time.

Gauge cluster that I put together, also tried to match the dash lights..

Nice truck. Is it intercooled? What fuel economy do you get with 35"S ?

Thanks everyone!

Yes the truck is intercooled, and re-calculating distance with the tires I believe I'm average 10.3-10.8L/100kms...On summer blend diesel of course.

VERY nice to see a power output chart for this engine. Would love to see one for the 4M40 as well.

Nice looking ride. Very well kept.

Rotated them tires, and sprayed a little EZ liner on some of the frame rails...
I noticed heavy wear from the Passenger side Torsion bars, So I may look into purchasing new ones soon...Already been re-indexed too.

Almost have my CAI finished, although it's not really Cold Air, but a giant Afe element and a bunch of oddball couplings. It'll probably sound like a 6.0 Ford on high idle lol. Also picked up a nice Moroso oil catch can. And of course a picture! (none of the parts yet)
