I was told to degrease/acetone/Pre-cleano 1st to remove any waxes/silicone before sanding (otherwise that stuff that paint doesn't stick to gets ground into the old paint)...then degrease again immediately before painting. Primer between old & new paint is worthwhile too.

I have my Hellas mounted up there test them first as I get lots of reflection back in the front window and need to make a shield up for them now...

It looks like you're going to be screwing that right into the body!? Are you adding extra bracing in behind to support the weight?

I'm going to rivet it in. There will be another brace that supports the weight.

How can they reflect back in the window? I know about hood glare on roof mounted lights, but never heard about that. Can you tell me what causes this reflection, so i can prevent it?

the Hellas have no hood over the lens and the lights send light straight up and for what ever reason it lights up really good in front but there is these very bright rings (the top of the lights) that is really distracting when the lights are on.

So how are the halos off the Hellas? Have you thought of mounting a shroud over the top of the lamp rack to cut down reflective glare?

Falco.

I have absolutely no reflections back in the front window. It's just awesome compared to the roof mounted lights on my blazer...

Yes, that license plate is nice. I paid about $20 for it...

Yesterday my buddy came over and laughed at my radio install. I told him to shut up or give me a better one. So he went home and gave me a real nice Kenwood head unit. He also installed it:

Then my other buddy stopped by and said it sounds like shit without a subwoofer. I told him to shut up or give me one. So he went home and gave me a nice 12" subwoofer. I had a small amp laying around, so i installed it:

While my buddy installed the new head unit, i finished the center console. The switch for the lights is just temporarily until i get the right ones. There will also be two voltmeter (one for each battery):
