Can you not programme NA maps into the computer? It still scans for the same satellites in the sky...
What make is the GPS unit?

Is this van at Craig's (Bonsai) in London, ON?
Craig and I had the first ever Delica meet in London (just haven't posted pics yet) and I got to drive it. Nice ride!
Do you live in London or did you travel to get it?

I bought my L300 from Mardy while living in BC, so I have never purchased from Craig. Craig and I have meet a few times just for fun. Last time we met he helped me change my oil and fuel filter (i had never done them myself before). He's extremely nice and helpful. I will probably purchase accessories from him in the future. From what I can tell he's straight forward and honest.

Nice rig!

On a side note, does anyone here know why the Chamonix climate controls on the dash are different from those on the base version (as opposed to the LCD-display climate control on Super/Royal Exceeds?

My Exceed has 5 buttons for vent position, a slider for temp, two buttons for FrontAC/RearAC, a notched slider for fan speed, a slider for cold-in-your-face, and a button for fresh/recirc.

The Chamonix dash seems to privode the same functionality, but arranged differently. I kinda like those rotary knobs; just curious that it seems like a fair amount of work to redesign the dash for ??? reason?

It can be found in the lower trim level, costwise I guess. Cargo van has same control unit. :M
Seems to be very tight, though.

Very nice looking van, man. What's up with the Terzo ladder on the back? Is that a ski/board rack? I would like to find a way to modify a ladder into a bike rack.

Congratulations and welcome to the club! Fender flares, this is what I am missing on my Chamonix! :-( BTW heater controls are great because they are simple.

The screen shows iGO8 GPS which means this stereo runs Windows CE which means you can run any GPS software for portable devices. Mr. Flibble posted about it HERE. I installed another stereo from Chinavasion and run iGO8 with NA maps on it. I believe this is the best GPS software for city navigation. The back up camera works too. :-D

Hi All, I'm going to miss this Chamonix! To answer a couple of questions the GPS I installed here (I hate trying to pick up AM stations with a JDM radio so I usually throw something in there for my drive cars)- it has maps for North America (including Mexico). The Terzo ladder? Well I usually buy a couple of these every time I bring a can of cars in (about once a month) and that particular ladder came with Terzo ski racks. So far every Chamonix I have imported has the basic climate controls in it, not what I find in the Exceeds.
Cheers guys

nice ride !

Crank the front torsion bars to level out the L400. It looks very saggy in the front end. :M
