A New Birthmark

Post by Shaun Van Ramen »

Many of us like to personalize our wheels. Especially those of us with white Deli's (we are so many).

Shaun van Ramen got a little cosmetic surgery the other day. Some touch-ups in spots:
> the spars right behind the doors had the remnants of the "Exceed" decal in the paint as well as the "4wd" on the *left front corner below the windshield - touched them up (see A, B in photo).

> The cactus masher (front bumper) got some touch up. White for now until I decide another colour and get approval.

The new look is the base body panels - painted them black Now I feel Shaun is Shaun.

*Now I can place my mitsumaple decal there!

I used a heat gun on low setting to remove the badges on my L300 and L400.
Replaced with Mitsubishi logo.

The "Exceed" and "4WD" decals were already removed when I got it. But they left impressions in the paint (put on wet paint?).

So it was a little sanding, paint, clear coat and then I have to polish a little.
