Hey heyyyy

I just imported a Series 2 L400 and I know some shops in Van will pass my stock headlights, just wondering if anyone knows of a more lenient shop in Kelowna? Thanks in advance!

The stock headlamps are designed for driving on the left side of the road. Consequently they will blind the oncoming driver in Canada. This is when people stepping off the curb get knocked down because the the driver of the car that hit them was temporarily blinded and didn't see the pedestrian. That pedestrian could be a member of your family.

If you do find a shop that's licensed to do OOP inspections and they pass Japanese headlamps, let us know and we'll report them.

Fair enough. Guess I'll be getting new headlights either way. Not sure of which shops in van, just what I've heard through the ole' grapevine.

Somewhere on this site is a thread regarding gluing new lenses onto the existing headlamp body. It's a little tricky but the cost is far more acceptable. I think it's either in L400 Technical or in Delica Modifications. I hope this is of use to you.

I found this by a member called Dennis Lambert, awesome guy who happens to come from Kelowna, of all places. He's not posted much lately, hope all is well with him. Perhaps you can find him, buy him a drink and pick at his brains? It's a good thread and may lead you to a happy ending, as far as your headlamps are concerned.

Technically it's not legal to remove the lense and replace it. But..... I did it before, just once and it was a PITA to do.
Good luck

Nice, sounds like a good plan. However, I'm only finding series 1 lenses through my searching. Anyone got a line on series 2 lenses? Everything I've read so far says replacing the full assemblies is the only option on the series 2. Otherwise it looks like cca's @ $450/side is what its gonna be :-D

Phone RB auto in maple Ridge 604 380 2100. They were wrecking a few L400s a while back, probably series 1 but you never know, not sure if they could tell the difference.
$450 a side is painful.
