If you see that stamped anywhere on the side wall and the tire is not nearing its wear limits it will pass no problem on an inspection. Also confirm that the vehicle has left hand drive headlamps. If for any reason it has RHD lights I would change them before shipping the vehicle as they can be expensive for genuine lights here. Thanks, Glen

Right on. Thanks for the help. I will check the headlights, but as the vehicle is LHD, and traffic in Switzerland drives on the right hand lane, I'm assuming that the lights will be the right ones. But I will double check for sure. Thanks

The '78 Pontiac wont need daytime running lights. I think the cut off is any vehicle after 1990 that would need to retrofit them.

Hello

I have a couple more questions regarding the import, or rather, the maintenance of my vehicle once its in canada. What I'm wondering about is replacement parts. How hard is it to get, for example, a thermal fan clutch for my 4G64 engine? Or a rear windschield wiper motor? Those are two things that will need replacing at some point. The fan clutch was not working very well anymore, so the mechanic locked it on full time. It works well (doesn't overheat), but really howls at higher rpms. He says it's not hurting anything, but I want to change it as soon as I can. But they are about 750.- Sfr. here. I was wondering how hard parts are to get in Canada. I know that the Space Gear is based on the Pajero chassis, with pretty much the same axles and drivetrain. I don't remember seeing Pajeros in Canada much. Is that the same thing as a Montero?

Thanks for the help.
