fix up my van

hello i would like to fix up my delica but i have no clue about vehicles. my exhaust smokes quite a bit if im boging through mud, going up a steep hill or starting off the line. i would also like to know if its worthwhile fixing my shades? the van is pretty sweet but i'd like it to be better.
p.s. i would alsa like to put in a cb radio but i dont know where to find one on the island, and a better sterio any ideas thans to all

On the power shades issue, I had looked into replacing the mechanism a couple of years ago. My findings at the time were that both sides together (front & rear) would cost between $500 and $1000 for new parts.
