5% Biodiesel and fuel lines

Post by torchard »

So this stufff turns fuel lines and gaskets to mush in pretty short order, eh?

Does this hold true for 5% blend?

I'm planning on getting a cardlock account w/ columbia fuels because they stock biodiesel and it's nearby.

Do I still have to be concerned with degrading fuels lines when running only 5 percent bioD?

Thanks,

No worries, it's fine in older vehicles up to and including B20.

Best Regards.

great thanks. signed up for the cardlock today. should be handy and even at 5 percent bio, it's a step in the right direction.

BTW i've read that there is increased lubrication with even small concentrations of bio fuel, despite that though are people still running additives?
