Leaking fittings

Post by Rattlenbang »

I'm finding a few oil leaks in my system, and they seem to come from pipe fittings sealed with teflon tape. Will oil destroy that tape? Should I use something other than teflon tape to seal threads?
My new novel A Dark and Promised Land has just been released by Dundurn Press. "On the eve of war he is compelled to reclaim her love, setting himself against his people amid a conflict that will form a nation." http://www.darkpromisedland.com/

Use the paste instead of the tape... When tape breaks down (and it will) small pieces can make their way to your IP, not good. I've seen JB weld used with great success in some applications.
