Now that a Delica isn't in my immediate future; found this on another forum and the entire family absolutely would love one!
There are many wonderfully kept VW Beetles here; almost daily bike by a shop with a beetle with an aftermarket VW engine (made in China?? And advertising 160hp) for $7000Cdn. Many an affordable, talented fabricating shops too. And very relaxed trailer laws (sat in on a conversation with the police chief concerning trailer requirements at last weekends Bike week, since there very uncommon, and as long as safety requirements are met you should be OK).
Certainly will have to import a simple tow ball and receiving socket for this project. Dream on.
