15x8J ET-8 rims on L300?

Hi all
Apologies if I've posted this in the wrong section.

Does anyone here have any experience running 15x8J offset -8 rims on a stock (not lifted) L300? If so, any issues with rubbing at full lock etc?
I've spotted a very cheap set of those rims with tyres on (265/70's). They are Toyota Hilux rims, and I know the 7J variety fits no problem, just not sure about the 8J's.

Thoughts?
Cheers
Jeroen

I don't have practical experience with those rims in particular, however I'm looking at a set of 16"x8 ET10 wheels, which fit with 8mm between the rim and top suspension arm. The Hilux ET8 (positive offset is stock on a Hilux) should fit just fine, unless there's something I've overlooked. (How's that for an encouraging, but ultimately useless answer!)

You could always make a cardboard mockup; draw a section of wheel and tyre on cardboard, cut out, and hold against the wheel flange. Very easy. You won't even need any sticky-backed plastic.

I am running 15x8 et 0 and the wheel sits flush to my flared fenders. You may have a bit of poke on a stocker.

Hi both,
Thanks for this - very useful info. Apologies for my slow reply, I should probably spend more time on here checking for messages! :)
Turns out I am now pretty sure that the seller got the width wrong on the rims I was looking at. I never ended up buying them, but they were 7J's, which is what I was expecting... :-D
I do think the same rims are also available with different offsets (they are these https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/Z6MAAOSw ... -l1600.jpg I'm thinking of), ET-8 being the most commonly available ones in the UK.
I'm keeping my eyes peeled - not in a massive hurry at the moment (slight cash flow issues) but I want something that sits a bit wider and further "out" to my current stock 6J ET22's.
Cheers
Jeroen

Word of caution when looking at negative offset rims.

I was running 15x8 rims with an offset of -20mm (3.71" backspacing) for the last few years. First problem will be the sliding door rubbing the back wheel when opened. The second and more important issue will be the stress on the outer bearings on the front. I blew an outer wheel bearing on the left front side three years ago. Ended up destroying the spindle and hub. I blew the same one a few weeks ago (approx 30,000 km after the first one). Got lucky this time with no other damage.

New bearings installed again and I went back to 15x8, 0.0mm offset (4.5" backspacing) rims.

What's the size of your tires? I've found a set of used truck wheels in 15x8 et0.00 also and I'm planning to put them on my L300.

31 x 10.5 x 15 tires will work if lifted.
May require a bit of trimming in the front wheel wells and removal of the front step plates.

Thanks for the info. My van is not lifted, but that's my next plan.
