Hamemade throttle adjust

Post by 204explorer »

My 95 L400 Diesel came without a manual throttle adjust. When I preheat my engine with my espar heater and then start it, the engine idles too low, causing a lot of vibrations during warmup. I decided to build my own. I let the pictures speak for themselves. Let me know if you figured out a better solution.

Hamemade throttle adjust

Looks pretty good. You could modify some sort of plastic knob to fit over the wing nut with the edges trimmed. You could probably find a stock unit at a wrecker too.

Man I didn't realize the throttle adjust was that simple! Definitely going to build my own now!
Might use one of these instead of the wing nut though...
