L300 window ventilation
My window vents/louvers for my L300 arrived today and they fit great! I have two of them and plan on putting them one on each side of the van - this should allow me some great cross breezes while camping. The vents came with a mosquito net back - Great for Yukon summers!
My work on the van continues - I plan on having it insulated and my sleeping platform done before the October coho salmon run in Haines Alaska begins.
Thanks to this site and ALL those who post modifications with great photos (like Fexlboi and nxski to name a few) you have really helped me try things on my van that I would have not otherwise done.... the mods continue.
and thanks to Sabbir for getting the vents for me - it took some time but they are well worth it.

Re: L300 window ventilation
Nice vents, they'd be good for summer camping in our mosquito country too. I use dress making chenille held on with strong magnets with the windows down. The rain won't go through the chenille and exept for bears..... Not as classy as yours.
Good luck fishing. Hope your summer has started, ours is slowwwww and cool. The mosquitos are still doing well.

They were 75 each and worth it!
I am planning on putting in a reversable exhaust type fan on one so I can actively vent out or drawn in air as required.

Re: L300 window ventilation
Are these vents mounted permanently or do you need to take it off for driving?

Re: L300 window ventilation
these can be easily removed but I plan on leaving them while driving and just closing the second sliding widow (behind it) while driving.

Hopefully this thread will come back to life...those vents are awesome.
Does anyone have a current contact that may be able to source me these? I'm in the UK and having no luck finding one or two of them over here.

Here ya go:

I looked at buying these, but they're pretty expensive when you factor in shipping. At least to Canada anyway. I love the fact that they're 100% functional, and look like a factory option. I'm getting a set once I win the lottery.

Same, but now that I'm looking into making my own parts from Carbon fibre/fibreglass these will most likely happen but from my own craftiness. Plus who wouldn't want a set in carbon fibre?!philmeup1 wrote:Here ya go:

If you can make a set that looks as good as the one's in the picture, I'd buy a set for sure:)
