Delca/Pajero oil filter cross reference

Post by Big-Bird »

For those who are finding it hard to get oil filters locally.....We don't all live near Vancouver.

If the Baldwin oil filter number BD28 actually works then this page is gold!

I purchased it from a local supplier that specializes in lubes, filters, batteries and such. Baldwin is one of his main suppliers for filters. These businesses are quite common across the west and can get you pretty much any filter you need.

I've been running BD28's for a while. Only problem is I used to order from Acklands @ 35/piece, but now they won't order any more for me unless I purchase 12 lol.

Also a note, Inspect threads when cross referencing filters! I had a filter that was *identical* to the BD28 and when it came to install, it would not screw without cross threading or binding... :?

I've used a number of the BD28's. I bought them from the Peterbuilt dealer. He had to order them but they were usually overnight, you could order 1 @ a time and were less then $20.

Les Hall Filters in North Van . Jobber price for BD28 was $16.80 Not sure if they retail or not, but sure gonna beat Acklands price. Call them up and ask to speak to Wood ( yup, thats his name)

Acklands here in Nisku is $48.50. I did find a truck luber place that will sell them by the case for $20. Just have to build up some capital first.

Just google for the nearest Mitsubishi Fuso dealership. They specialise in those Mitsubishi Fuso delivery trucks you see everywhere.

Go in and ask for the following part:

Mitsubishi ME228898

This is the exact match for the 4M40 engine. Good price usually too.
