When it warms up, I'll be getting the Strada out of mothballs for the summer. I'd be interested in having a Mitsubishi diesel get together in Winnipeg sometime this spring. You could see it in the flesh!

I bled a bit of air out yesterday from the filter and truck started and ran like a champ. Hoping this is the last bleeding necessary.

Rebuild kits are quite rare apparently. Luckily, the 3/4" bore slave cylinder is very common. Bought a cheap Mazda slave cylinder and slipped the piston into the stock Strada one and we are good to go.

Yes there is a valve that control temperature of the HVAC.Cold=cut the flow of coolant thru the core..Hot=coolant is flowing thru the heater core.
That valve is behind the top of the dash,over the gas pedal.

there was nothing wrong with the clutch/components other than needing a new clutch due to age. (it was not the cause of my symptoms)

The transmission was my problem. majority of the bearings were toast, including one where it was pretty much running race on...

I don't know how different the drive train of the Strada/L200 was from the Pajero/Montero and Delica, or which parts differ.

You can aslo try to give advance on the fuel pump timing.That will compensate the wear of
the cam plate but will not do anything for the pressure.
Give advance on the timing and you will see a difference.The timing on our truck is 7 degrees,try

Ok,I've passed winter with the lift pump to compensate for wear of the rotor head of the injection pump and i could say that
a lift pump make no difference.The best way to resolve many of the smoking,chugging,bumping,etc... is to rebuild the IP with new seals and rotor head.

The glow plug controller is on the passenger side(left side of the cab) just beside the glovebox,bolted
on the pillar where the door hinges are fixed,just over a plastic trim.
It's a small square metal box with a connector on it,6 or 8 wire,don't remember.

I know it's not a bad ground with the module, as I grounded it elsewhere to test that.

I can test the single headlight theory when I get my truck back from my brother.

If your module is under the hood, could you take note which wires are being used. I might just try mounting it elsewhere to see...
