Hi everyone,
I'm new to posting here after spending way too much time reading.
Currently gutted my 96 L400 and rebuilding it back together as a camper, while being somewhat conscious on my budget.
That being said, does anyone have some advice for buying a delicafridge that doesn't cost $1000 ish...

I did some more surfing and these are available on EBay and Amazon for about the same price or almost double if you choose the wrong supplier. They appear to draw about twice the current for half the size of an ARB unit but if your only using it for short periods of time who cares! I doubt they are...

The rear springs on my Delica have sagged (as they all do) to the point where they were sitting on the overload leaves, which makes the ride quite harsh.
I've tried adding a leaf ( ) which made the ride smooth again when loaded, but it also raised the rear too far when the van was empty. ( Too...

Man those pins are a pain to get out! I ended up hack sawing off both ends then using sockets to be able to push the remaining metal out for anyone looking for a different way/ only has access to a C clamp..
When I did the replacement shock I just cut off one side of the pin and used a gear...

I've got 4 mounting legs (for 2 bars) sitting in my garage collecting dust. You'd have to source some new cross members as the original ones were destroyed in a tragic roll over. I'd be happy to pass them off to someone who would use them. They were off a 95 L400 high roof.
The only down side is I...

I ended up getting ahold of one of TieMyShoes Grinded cams, so I thought I would post my thoughts on it after driving with it a while.
It feels like my van doesn't bog down as much going up hills or trying to accelerate at highway speeds. Usually I feel a large dropoff in power once it goes past...

Hello Members,

Need wiring tips for keyless remote L300

Okay. I have the door panel off. But now that I have the door off, I’m trying to figuring out the wiring part of the job.
I bought a kit with 4 actuators. Obviously I don’t need that. In fact, I only need one. I’m not going to wire the rear hatch on this thing. And I don’t really care about the...

TL;DR: Rancho part number RS999188 adjustable shocks fit L300 front suspension, but require a touch of modification to do so safely. On their hardest setting they aren't as hard as I expected, but still show a clear improvement in handling on the road. Softest is like driving a bouncy castle and...

Nice write-up. I'm planning to get new shocks for my Delica and looks like the Rancho adjustable shocks are a good option.

My window vents/louvers for my L300 arrived today and they fit great! I have two of them and plan on putting them one on each side of the van - this should allow me some great cross breezes while camping. The vents came with a mosquito net back - Great for Yukon summers!

I've just bought a 1998 L400 high-roof Super Exceed. I grew impatient waiting for an LWB and finally went for a short wheel base that my wife and I plan to camperize as time, ability and money permits. I eventually plan to install a small fridge (Engel, Arb, Dometic, etc...) once I get a second...

Looking for some guidance in tapping the fuel line in an L300 to provide fuel to an Espar D2 air heater clone.
Can I directly break into the existing fuel line and butt a 'T' into it rather than tapping a tube directly into the fuel tank?

Here are some images (the forum casts me shade about image size, so you'll have to use the links to view):

I plan on doing this mod at least on the passenger side.
Good read :
This setup will work very well with the low roof L400's with the swivel middle bench seat. A small table and you can fit four people in comfortably for a meal with the back of the van open for cargo or more people.

After fitting air shocks to the rear of my van, which slightly stiffen the rear suspension, I've been thinking that the front suspension is way too soft.
The Japanese market L300 4WD wagon (P25/35W) has 20mm diameter torsion bars on the front suspension. Light springs like these make for a...

the idea being that I can set them to stiff when towing the caravan, medium for around town, and soft for off road. We'll see how well they work.
Medium for everything :-D . I highly doubt I would crawl under the van to adjust them unless it makes a BIG difference.

Your EGT installation

My van should be in my drive next week and one of the first mods I want to complete is an install of EGT. I'm asking what you guys have used, what you prefer? Do you have pictures of your installation?

My boost and EGT gauge are EDO and I've liked them so far. solid construction and an easy install. I removed my EGR and had a shop tap the blanking plate to put in the EGT probe. Very easy and hassle free.
I put up some pictures of the pods on a previous post.

Went a little overboard on the awning. This is a 10'1 awning, projects 8'2 . I used the brackets KIT VW T3. Worked good, just had to modify the small Z shaped bracket into a longer L shaped bracket. Waiting on some nutserts so I can wall mount it to the Delica. And it will eventually have lights....

Thanks for the quick response and info. Yeah I'm leaning more towards the roof rack option just to keep it easier I think. Nice pop top! Thanks again!

For a while I've been wondering about the huge empty space above radiator air intake deflector panel thingy.

Yes indeed, made them myself. I've got a very old vinyl cutter that's lived a hard life. Might have gone a little overboard on the design, but I regret nothing.
