Driving BC in the winter.
I tried turning the o/d off going up cypress bowl road and I didn’t find it helped at all. I watch my egt like a hawk and found the temp rose with the rpm high or low. Obviously it goes up the more I step on the gas pedal. If you don’t have an egt gauge I would be careful as you are probably well pa...

Pressurized Coolant?
You can always turn your rad cap on 1/2 way and drive it like that. This way it doesn’t pressurize your system.

Seized AC Compressor
Was your a/c button out? I had the same problem only the engine would make a horrible sound with the a/c button in. The system low pressure shutoff would prevent the compressor from running without freon. I had to take my Delica to Anglo air conditioning in Vancouver and it was around 800$ for every...

Front seal on fuel pump
I’m in the process of buying an L400 and it has the starting problem too where it will die if it’s not warmed up enough. I’m wondering if the front seal is an easy job and how much it costs to do it yourself or get a shop to do it? I have done the head gasket on my L300 so I have some mechanical abi...

My van rolls when in Park in 4wd
I had an elgrand that did the same thing after driving in 4x4. It stopped rolling eventually but I always used the parking brake on a hill. Other forums say it’s the park pin that’s broken. The only solution on the other forums was to repair the transmission.

Some help with A L300 muffler
Go to a good muffler shop. Don’t go to someone that says cu$tom,cu$tom,cu$tom. Should be around 400$ for everything maybe 200 if there just replacing the muffler.

Do you really need both alternator belts?
You should definitely keep both belts especially if you are having problems with one braking. There’s an oil pump on the back of the alternator so if it stops spinning the oil stops flowing.

Should I buy
When it runs does it blow a lot of blue smoke? I was thinking if the ip pump was just done maybe that is the problem with the ruff idling, could be a timing issue.

Reward: open my rear gate?
I had the same problem. You need to take the panel off and pry the latch mechanism because it slips over the other side of where it’s supposed to be. I live at main and 51 if you need a hand.

Oil filling into alternator
:o 2000$ for just the alternator! No warranty? I would be jumping up and down til I got my money back. I have gone through 3 alternators in 10 years but never back to back and it was always the oil leaking from the turbo which I just fixed along with the head gasket. I would definitely install a vol...

What to do post Delica?
I got an elgrand 3.2 diesel after my L300 Delica blew a head gasket and now I’ve fixed my head gasket and have 2 vans. The elgrand is awesome and my wife and kids never want to drive in the Delica anymore. The clearance is the only problem with the elgrand for off-road.

Another Glow system mystery
I had the same problem but I don’t have a manual switch. I had 2 wires chaffed together in the harness above the fuel pump. Check it out the engine vibrates so insulation will wear down.
