Deli pic
Don't think I've shared a shot of my ride since I joined the forum. But I'm finally getting our Delica to a place where I'm happy with it. I like this quick iphone shot I took the other day at the trailhead for a short hike near Nelson.

Re: Terzo Ladder for sale
If there's some way I can confirm this will fit an L400 I'll definitely make an offer.

Re: dog at my seatbelt!!
I have the same problem, but I've managed to contain them to the back of the van. Then never got the very back seat belts, so I removed them and am hoping they'll work to replace the belts for the captain's chairs in the mid van. One of the mid belts is still decent, so I wrapped some chicken wire a...

OEM vs. aftermarket parts
Wondering if anyone has any thoughts about using OEM parts over aftermarket. OEM parts cost a lot more, but I'm wondering if they end up lasting longer and are better for your vehicle. So much of the cost in Delica upkeep is labour (for those who aren't mechanically inclined), so it would seem to ma...

Steering rack reconditioning
Wondering if anyone knows of a place that will recondition a steering rack. Mine is in good shape other than a small leak in the seal and it seems like a waste to go out and buy a new or reconditioned one.
Thanks,
Colin

Re: Tricks for getting spare tire back into mount - after hi
Thanks for the advice everyone. I figured out that the problem is the new/used spare I had mounted. It's just slightly bigger than the one that was on there and doesn't quite fit right into the basket. I took 10 pounds out, used the jack, pounded on it with a hammer, but just couldn't get it in far ...

Tricks for getting spare tire back into mount - after hitch
Had my spare tire out recently to get a hitch installed. It was in pretty rough shape so I got one of the Geolandars that came on the van mounted and made a brief attempt to put it back in its place when I got home today - but with no luck. The tire on there is the same size as the previous one and ...

I'm also looking for a Terzo for a HR L400 if there magically happens to be two available.

Re: summer tires
I picked up a set of Yokohama Geolandar AT/S a while back and am really happy with them. The ride is quiet and they have a few channels for water, but they also have a fairly aggressive tread on them. I haven't used them much off road yet but the grip on gravel has been pretty good.

Re: L400 fuel filter question
A did a bit more digging and found that the fuel filters on the L300 and L400 are indeed the same. Got a WIX from Napa.

L400 fuel filter question
Does the L400 take the same fuel filter as the L300? And what are your thoughts on the best/worst brands. I searched this and read what I could find, but didn't find enough info.
Thanks,
Colin

Re: Dog ate my seat belts
Thanks konadog. Am planning to get in touch with Coombs soon so I'll ask. Getting the panels off to get at the bolts is the biggest hurdle for me. The attachment points are always so hidden away. Sprayed some vinegar on the belts that are left today and will see how that works. Cayenne will be next.

Dog ate my seat belts
So one of my dogs has been gradually making his way through all of the rear seat belts in our L400. I don't care about two of them because there are no seats but I definitely need to have the two belts for the mid captain's chairs. Wondering if anyone knows of a good place to get a couple of these b...

Re: L400 fuel tank
I just had mine replaced because of a small hole in the top of the tank. There is an indentation or baffle on the top where dirt and water can get trapped. The hole was just a pinhole one. I priced out a new tank at $950 from Rocky Mountain Imports and used tanks from Rising Sun and Amazing Auto for...

Re: Your top five... or 10.
I just got my brakes done a couple months ago with remanufactured calipers. I wonder if it might actually be less expensive to get new Mitsubishi genuine calipers because they would seize less often?
