Re: L400 Skid Plate Mounted
Do you have any details re the design and materials used? Cost?
I've been wanting to make one but haven't had the time to get down there and mock it up.

A/C Leak
A few weeks ago I went to evacuate my A/C system to recharge it (97 L400 with front and rear heat & A/C). I took it to the shop and it was vacuumed for about 15 mins - then sat to see if it would hold. It would not hold vacuum and the needle on the gauge began to creep almost immediately. I had ...

Hey Macro, with the new rear coils from Coombs, would I still need the longer shocks?

Re: alignment??
I found this on one of several responses to a search. Seems to be a lot of info out there. The official Mitsubishi data is as follows: Camber: 0º30’ ±45’ Castor: 3º±1º Toe-in (at wheel rim): 0-3 Toe-in (per wheel): ±8’ Also found a PDF with all the info here: http://www.delica.ca/manuals/L-400%20Man...

Here's a pic of the location of the low pressure nipple.
This is on my L400 with a single battery.

Just to add...
I assumed yours is a Series 1. The replaceable lenses are for the lights in the Series 1. I think you have to buy the complete light for a series 2.

Re: Out of Province inspection
Where are you buying your headlights from? $1200.00 seems a bit pricey. You can buy the lenses for the headlight assembly and replace them for much cheaper. You can pick up the lenses for around $400.00. There are lots of posts on this. I did mine in a couple of hours. It was fairly easy. The inspec...

Re: Out of Province Inspection and need to vent
Have a look here. Not too terrible a price for a new windshield. My Chevy pickup was much more expensive for an OEM windshield.

Re: Out of Province Inspection and need to vent
Wow! That's unbelievable. That doesn't sound like the kind of mechanic I'd want to work on any of my vehicles. Seriously, if any mechanic is going to make a blanket statement like that about any vehicle just because it's a Delica (or anything else that's different) then in my opinion, he's not much ...

Re: A/C Advice
Just called the rad shop and my evaporator isn't leaking...whew! Two thumbs up to the guys at Surrey Radiator at 64/King George. Great to deal with and friendly service. They were swamped and explained it would be a couple of days before they could get to it. They performed as promised. I'd go back ...

Re: A/C Advice
No, I am getting a shop to do the vacuuming and recharge once I repair the system. They will know how to add a bit of oil. I imagine very little was lost in the leak so it won't need much at all - if any.
Thanks for the info. That does make sense. I was thinking the oil would be pulled out as well.

Thanks Islander20
Once I fix the leak, the system will be evacuated and recharged. Does the evacuation remove the oil as well?
If not then I wont have to worry about it. Maybe just add a little to replace what's leaked out.

Re: A/C Advice
I removed my rear evaporator (I called it a condenser - but the guys at the a/c shop corrected me). My system kept leaking out the gas I put in. I could see a bit of oil collecting around the two fittings where they connected to the aluminum block of the evaporator. I removed it and the evaporator l...
