Somebody's re-wired the glow plug starter relay, it looks like.

X2
If you're changing three, you might as well change the fourth, that way they'll all wear evenly together. After you get an alignment.

It didn't even come with a roo-bar! What's up with that?
Another black one - must have been a fire sale recently.

Very nice - the elusive black.
Cool picture too - what did you use? How did you filter/adjust/refine?
And you're welcome. That's what we're all here for: to bring you to the punch bowl and hand you the first tall glass.

Very nice, indeed. I wonder what the "GDI" means - I know it's a gasser, so "gas direct injection"?

Re: Are my rotors toast?
They're not toast, they're round. :-D Okay, seriously though. If you've got grooves on the rotors, it'll just chew up new pads (look for grooves on the old pads to match). Shuddering comes from a warped rotor and if you don't have that then they're not warped. A lot of brake shops will tell you for ...

Re: First Campout of the year
Nice interior setup. You should see if you could bolt-in/make-fit an L400 chair with a flip up seat - that might give you a bit more room but still allow to keep the chair back there. You commented on the height of tent on top of the L300 - that's why I had mounted mine onto a small cargo trailer. I...

Re: Glove box owners manual.....
The Japanese manuals are surprisingly understandable, given all the illustrations in them. Understandable and funny, because of the illustrations. Check for a manual out of England or Australia, they'll be in English. There was a website that offered manuals from Oz - can't remember what the name was.

Trucks are still handy to haul stuff... ...I'd take those over the Nissan Frontiers any day. Tacoma, not so sure. Between the mid-sized trucks, I definitely preferred the looks of the Tacoma over the Frontier. That being said, I preferred the look of the Nissan Titan over the Toyota Tundra - the Tu...

Re: front auto hubs
'92? Look for Montero replacements - they could be the same.
I don't know how different the drive train of the Strada/L200 was from the Pajero/Montero and Delica, or which parts differ.

Sweet! I wonder how a 3500cc gasser would perform. You'll have to keep us posted.FredVenne wrote:Pajerry, I just made the payment for a 1998 Pajero LWB Exceed with a 3.5L V6 24v GDI engine, I don't think I will need to change anything on it. Sounds like something has come unplugged or disconnected somehow, or you've lost a sensor/module in your transmission.

Re: It's been a while...
I found there is still the odd non-owner who recognises the uniqueness of these vehicles. If they can get past the steering wheel, most are quite impressed - with both the L300 and the Pajero. If I was to get another JDM as a 'spare' vehicle, it'd be a Pajero Evolution: 1) for the looks, and 2) for ...
