Are they saying the injectors/IP etc are shot? Sounds like when you restarted you were getting more gas which made combustion way early, but if that was happening the day before you probably would have known. Having the ignition timing off that far is hard on the engine, but assuming you didn't run ...

I would definitely address the issue... if you can get it clean, treat it with a rust converter, paint and reseal you should be fine. There should also be a drain or two somewhere... make sure they're not plugged.

Sure look similar, but that doesn't mean much... At $17 for the moog part it's certainly worth a shot. And if they fit, then the Prothane bushings would too.
I can't imagine there were that many options/makers for OEM leafs with oval eyes...

And when I bought the car the precedent owner said he put a "spring" temperature sender. I think that the target of this sender is to avoid overwarming. That makes no sense to me; the temp sensor's resistance changes based upon it's temperature... that's how they work. It's already adjust...

Get the aluminum half moon, pt# MD372348. I would just use gasket sealant on the original rubber gasket... I had to do that to the new one anyway w/in a year of replacing it.

Oil coming from multiple places unknown tends to be the valve cover IME. Mine was leaking along the manifold side and I couldn't see it even with an inspection mirror.

Man those pins are a pain to get out! I ended up hack sawing off both ends then using sockets to be able to push the remaining metal out for anyone looking for a different way/ only has access to a C clamp.. When I did the replacement shock I just cut off one side of the pin and used a gear puller ...
