L300 Disable Glow Plug Circuit for Camping

Thanks for the reply Growlerbearnz

Just to clarify, by installing the jumper you are able to operate the windows with the key off? If so, that seems like the easiest and best solution.

What would be the best way to get at the relays? They are tucked in there pretty good. Remove the speaker??

L300 Disable Glow Plug Circuit for Camping

Just thinking, would it be as simple as removing a fuse or fusible link for the glow plugs?

L300 Disable Glow Plug Circuit for Camping

Hello Delica Guys and Gals Just wondering if anyone has any thoughts on how to temporarily disable the glow plug circuit when camping. The glow plugs run off the "ON" bus and so do the windows. To conserve precious battery capacity while operating the windows I was thinking of either disab...

looking for turbo help.

The air filter hose/duct that appears to be missing is actually by design. I and many others wondered WTF on initial discovery. There are some good explanations for this. Search the forum for "duct missing".

Brake Shoe Spring Hardware Kit L300

Hello Delica Guys & Gals I've searched the internet including online parts catalogs and can't seem to find a part number for a complete brake shoe spring hardware kit. Does anyone know of a part number or cross number? 1996 P35W, not sure if that makes a difference. I have come to learn that the...

It wasn't me, although I will be passing through Halifax sometime with my L300 in August on my east coast trip.

Hello from Columbia, South Carolina!

Hello FlossyPine and Welcome!!

I went with Craig from Bonsai Rides (bonsairides.com). He has imported Delicas from Japan for US customers in the past. Excellent guy to deal with and a painless process. Geographically for you and based on my experience he would be worthwhile looking up.

Good Luck!!

Minor Facelift

Hello Delica Guys and Gals Here are some pics of my Baby with "new to me" rims and mud tires. The fender flares were removed due to one needing repair and I decided it looks better without. The "Active World" graphic is now gone due to a rear corner panel needing body repair and ...

Looking to buy, do's and don'ts?

Here are my thoughts: L300's have the Cool Factor by far and from what I understand are a lot easier to work on. The L400 has to much electrical Hocus Pocus going on. As for the Crystal Lite roof, I have seen that they are prone to rust and electrical failure. The less creature comforts the better i...

headlight bezel removal?

A trick that I have learned for stubborn screws is to use a speed handle (preferably one with a flat circular knob on the end of the handle). Use valve grinding compound on the tip of the bit for extra grip and really lean into the screws.

Battery drain

I do a lot of camping in my Delica and the doors are open quite a bit at the camp sites. I ended up pulling the instrument cluster (very easy, there's a how to somewhere on the site) and removed the door ajar lamp.

Quebec and East Coast Camping Trip

Thanks Lapprentis!!

I am really looking forward to Quebec's natural beauty and the European feel of Quebec City. We will definitely have to get together over a few good beers or red wine and talk about the Delicas while the wives roll their eyes...lol.

I will PM you with further details sometime
