Re: Locate the Recreation Site
Oh it's not that crazy of a story, had just bought a new 10 foot inflatable and went for a fish on Buntzen to try it and the new motor out. I was trolling by the beach (for fish really) and caught a small trout, and well landing it 2 young ladies swimming far from shore climbed on the boat for a res...

Re: Locate the Recreation Site
Hello Wayne, I'm fairly certain it's the dock at Buntzen Lake.

Re: Locate the Recreation Site
Hello Wayne. I re-sized your picture and I'll hold off guessing until next week.
I think it may be the only place where both a fish and a bikini have arrived at my boat at the same time.

Re: Locate the Recreation Site
Still waiting for hint. :-D My past visits suggest Coldsaur Lake south rec site, a guess, but browsing the internet shows those rec sites have changed over the years with logging and such. Always have liked fishing Coldsaur, 2 pound Rainbows all day if you hit it at the right time. Like Needa Lake, ...

Re: Locate the Recreation Site
WMU 3-39 IS in BC. Camp 2 Rd goes West out of Clearwater and can be used to reach several sites. You could reach the Taweel Lake Rd but it would be the looong way around. Note the clever clue in the initial description! Kinda lost on what the common theme is, though from my visits in the area I jus...

Is this new rec site in Alberta, or located along the Taweel forest service road?

Re: WVO Conversion, 1998 L300
As far as I'm aware, this models only major difference from earlier L300 Delica, is a water cooled turbo charger. In Asia, as I saw, the same engine was used in trucks and vans well into the 2000's. Also it's a 2 tank model, which allows the second to tank to be converted to WVO, without the need fo...

Re: Locate the Recreation Site
Falco, you are correct, and I know because Google image search matched this lake with Larry's post on the Angler's Atlas website which I frequently visit. Fodder for fellow fly tiers, the Slim Picking's a Sheridan Lake favorite, a productive fly that takes seconds to tie with only pheasant tail and ...

Cheers and welcome!
Did they allow your daughter to take her drivers test in the Delica? Years ago in Powell River they wouldn't let my daughter take her's in a RHD Delica.

Re: Locate the Recreation Site
That's correct, it is Charlotte Lake. If the squitoes are reasonable a fantastic lake to recreate with kids. At least I didn't post a picture of Charlotte Lake from the 60's or 70's when are family spent a lot of time there at the cabin.

Re: Parts availability - Travelling from Vancouver to S. Ame
Not sure how many old timers are still around but we all had some good times, trips and stories to share back then. Great van's and a plenty down south. Yep - back when we all had L-300's... It was a heaps magical time. http://technmarketing.com/blog3/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/Like-it-or-not-Faceb...

Re: Locate the Recreation Site
Chaunigan Lake is the correct answer. Now it's your turn. Where is Azouzetta Lake anyway? Larry, do you know the name of the mountain pictured above Chaunigan? Azouzetta Lake is 106 km's south of Chetwynd, across from my winter playground of Powder King. Panorama from yesterday (link). I've had to ...

Re: Locate the Recreation Site
Chaunigan Lake? The altitude reminded me of a lake I've never been but been recommended over the years. Mountain was bugging me, sure I knew it but can't name it. Many peaks close in the valley and west on hwy 20 are very rather familiar. Family spent so much time in the area through the 70's - don'...
