hi guys,
Can anyone recommend a car appraisal person/company in cowtown? My insurance company requires one to be done before I can get complete coverage.
Thanks
Steve

Re: Any ideas anyone!
Door to door delivery from squamish to calgary was quoted only around $800 by http://www.searail.ca 1-866-282-9831
Probably way less from Golden (rail runs right through there no?) to Delta - Give them a shout then perhaps CVI can pick it up for you in Richmond???

Re: Steps for registering BC Deli in Calgary
Hey Loki, is there something to look for on the glass to determine that it's MMC - is there literally MMC markings on each pane?

Re: Steps for registering BC Deli in Calgary
Nice! That's good to hear. I just called ProActive here in Calgary, with my main concern about the replacing of all glass - they had never heard of this and said as long as the headlights are compliant, tires, etc. it should be no problem getting a BC Delica through the out of province inspection......

Re: Steps for registering BC Deli in Calgary
Hi M, Yes all those items sound familiar to other postings on this site - not sure sure it's new as of 2008 though. Here's what I know: The headlights defintiely need to be changed if they're still the originals. The new headlights once installed need to be set up as daytime running headlights (DRLs...

Steps for registering BC Deli in Calgary
Hey guys, well I've made a deal in writing to buy a private BC Delica, and the plan is to have it shipped via searail from Delta BC to Calgary - and this is where I need some asistance. The Delica has been registered and inspected in BC, so when it arrives in Calgary at searail, I need to know if th...

Re: Suggestions on best way to do a distance deal?
Thaqnks Green1 - good idea for paypal. So as far as timing the transaction though.... did you just pay the dealer once the Deli was picked up by the delivery service? I think you mentioned before you drove yours back? Just not sure the best way to time the payment - perhaps do the paypal once the sh...

Suggestions on best way to do a distance deal?
Hi guys, I've found a Delica I'd like to purchase, it's in BC I'm in AB. Can anyone recommend a way to exchange $$ using a third party so that both me the buyer and the seller feel safe/secure in the transaction? Anyone have experience in a situation like this? I plan to have the Deli shipped and wo...

Re: Anyone changing their belts and parts themselves??
Hi guys, thanks for the reponses. I'll definitely search through the site a bit more. It would be great if there was a specific section for "how to's" on this site with pics, tips, etc. Terrific link too bae146 - just what I was looking for. Will definitely favourite this. I recently bough...

Anyone changing their belts and parts themselves??
Hi guys, I don't even own a Delica (YET), but I'd like to know why it seems no one is doing belt changes, water pump replacements etc..themselves? I've searched the site for detailed how-to's, but come up blank. The reason I ask is that I'm considering importing my Delica with the intention of doing...

Hey Cool! I rarely see these in Calgary and it killed me having to get back to work without stopping. I don't have a Deli yet myself, but planning to pick one up this spring.
Anyhow - great looking van, hoping to 'join the club' soon.

Nice green and grey with crystal light roof - was dying to stop in and take a closer look with hopes of chatting with the owner but was heading back to work at lunch.

Re: Tips for getting a BC Deli back to AB...??
OK - I think I understand now. Sounds like the best thing to do is: Let my insurance company here know what I plan on doing. Make the puchase Call my Insurance company and have them fax me my temp pink slip in Van. Get an in-transit ticket from BC insurance company (I can get one being an Alberta re...

Re: Tips for getting a BC Deli back to AB...??
Thanks for the quick replys - some great info! Green1 - I do have a toyota truck that I'll be leaving here when I go to Vancouver. So are you saying that I can just remove the plates from my truck when I fly to Van, put them on the Deli, drive the Deli to Caglary, put the plates back on the truck, t...

Tips for getting a BC Deli back to AB...??
Hi guys, My name is Steve and I'm in Calgary, Alberta. I've been lurking on this site for a month or so now - ever since I saw my first Delica in early January at Burstall Pass in Kananaskis country. I've been thinking about these vans so much lately, I swear I've actually lost sleep thinking about ...
