Re: Alternator?
put in a volt meter in the gauge pod it will help you more than the inclinometer.

Re: Testing L300 head
do you have coolant in your overflow tank? I've noticed when my engine gets hotter than normal I have to add more coolant.i think I had a small leak that I had to add fluid once or twice a year. you don't have to remove the camshaft pulley to remove the bottom cover but you do if your changing the s...

Re: So many lights, one at a time
There is a wiring diagram on delica wiki. I would check all the fuses and see what is the common ground with all the lights.it could be there is too much voltage going to the lamps and burning them out one by one.

Re: Delica P35W won't start -- could it be the glow plugs?
is the fuse attached to the battery cable good? That went on me, the alternator shorted out and the delica wouldn't start. if it is the fusable link when you change it make sure you unplug the alternator or you will blow the fuse again . then drive it to the alternator shop or get a new alternator f...

Glow plug clicking solved
The problem was where the glow plug harness meets the throttle harness right where the transmission dip stick is. The wires were twisted around each other and the throttle and glow plug wires chaffed together causing the clicking when I let off the throttle. Please check this before you spend any mo...

Re: Clicking constantly
I will try that tomorrow I have a potentiometer that goes up to 800ohms. Hopefully it will lead me in the right direction. I also have owned the van for almost 8 years and have never changed the glow plugs. Could the glow plugs cause the clicking sound?

Re: Clicking constantly
Maybe it's not the glow plugs. I just assumed because it makes the clicking sound like the glow plugs.it happens almost all the time below 1500rpm and then seems good above that so maybe it has something to do with the alternator or voltage regulator.any thoughts?

Re: Clicking constantly
I looked at the relays the ecu and the water temp sensor. All looked good the resistance on the sensor was 630 ohms and the engine was warm. I drove home and no clicking maybe a wire was chafing or maybe it will be back tomorrow. Maybe it's gremlins.

Re: Vacuum pump oil line.
That exact same thing happened to me a year ago. I notice a larger than normal oil spot under my car (5" diameter ) and told my wife we had to go to canadian tire because I needed more oil. Good thing it was only 2 km away because it left a line of oil all the way there. I think the life on the...
