Re: Are Delica's Crap?

Speed holes on the roof... Rust eating up my roof, hence lots of holes coming out, hence my delica gets lighter every time those rust falls on my head, hence speed inproves with less weight to carry around.

Re: Are Delica's Crap?

Hi Impalator, I'm glad all went well with your trip! I brought mine to LA after Christmas. Before the trip, I finally got the chance to change my Timing belts and radiator as well. The deli drove very well up to San Jose for a stop over. It took us about 20 hours though as we were just going about 1...

Too COLD ? Shifter doesn't go to Reverse or N from Park

If you get this problem... just run your engine for awhile with heater at full HOT to warm all the controls up. Shifter 'safety neutral switch' freezes up and gets stuck. It should free up as soon as temp inside gets better.

Re: Wet feet-need help

Hi Guys, My Buddy Edwin 'the dude' does the job for $75. To get it sealed properly, you have to take the panels off (left & right sides) with headlights removed and expose the seams which is the real problem (assuming there are no leaks from the windshield). It would take a couple of hours to do...

Hey Falco,

I'm really glad PDR 'jose' really worked well for you. With the way you take good care of your baby, you need good quality people to do the job and get it back into shape.

Re: An URGENT CALL FOR HELP! Stuck in LA!

There is a fuel enrichment valve located right on top of the injection pump where a vac hose is connected. The other end goes to the turbo (pressure side). When you go on boost conditions, the pressure actuates the enrichment valve on injection pump and enriches the fuel to the injectors. Low power ...

Re: Still stuck in LA... 2 weeks now.

So the fuel pump failed the bench test - it cut out at 4000rpm. We said the delica has never (and will never) rev to 4000rpm in normal operation so just put it on and let us go, but they said they couldn't let it go with a known defect and they'd look into it. The injectioni pump is never tested at...

Re: An URGENT CALL FOR HELP! Stuck in LA!

There is a solenoid switch on top of the injection pump that is the main control of fuel into the pump. Check that one first assuming the engine is turning and the timing belts are ok. Or an easier way to check if fuel is coming into your system is loosening one of the 17mm lines to the injectors an...

Re: Coolant change

You need to drain coolant from radiator and engine block to complete a good job. Take the under panel cover off below the front diff and on the left side of radiator, you will see the drain plug with a small hose connected to it. turn it counter clock looking at the plug in front (don't forget to ta...

Re: sick pajero

If it was running well when you went to work and suddenly,.. coming home... it's acting differently, I would check your cam timing first. If you can open the upper timing cover and set the engine at TDC (looking into the pulley side) and then check where the position of the cam gear timing mark is. ...
