Re: Rocksmith!
If you are need a town with a Target store they have some great PS3 clearance prices (getting ready for PS4 release). The Uncharted 3 250GB super slim model is on for only $124.95 (Used to be $299.99 only a few months ago). *I have a number of new in box Phats and Slims running <3.55 firmware for th...

Re: Importing from Canada to U.S.
Nice job reviving a dead thread with a 'for sale' ad. Such a clever attempt at skirting the no dealer advertising rule...Duh!

Hope you don't stop visiting Delica.ca. This place needs its 'function over looks' ambassador.

Re: Coolant gurgling
Sorry to hear that a cracked head is confirmed Nxski. :-( Off topic alert: Firesong stop the 2LTE racism! :o My 2LTE's have been problem free for 9 years. They just got a bad rap because Hilux Surfs along with Landcruisers and Townace vans were among the first mass imported jap vehicles when the cra...

This thread is like the movie 'The Ring'.
When i stopped at the gas station for a fillup this morning my tank was gurgling away for 20seconds. Hope it is related to having the heat on for 5the first time this year and not the other thing...

Re: Mechanics in/around Ottawa...?
An oil change on a Delica is no different than an oil change on any other vehicle. Any mechanic that has arms can do it. :-D To make life easy though you should go to Napa etc with the oil filter part number and get that yourself and bring it with you to whatever mechanic does the job. That is the o...

Re: Tire Advice
After some tweaking getting the psi right I have been quite happy with the Goodyear Duratracs. Stick like glue in the snow. They do make some road noise around 50-60kph when the windows are down...but it sounds kind of like Sebulba's pod racer (whub whub whub) so I kind of dig it.

Re: Looking to buy: rust problems?
The L400 with the 4M40 is pretty much a perfect balance of ecconomy and power. It has enough get up and go to keep up with traffic and climb big highway hills at a respectable pace. It also does this at >20mpg. For the LWB which holds 7 people and still has a huge cargo area behind the last row of s...

Re: L400 gauge
A pyrometer is one of the most useful gauges you can get for any diesel...even on an L400.
I can easily push my EGT temps into the danger zone going up big highway hills, my gauge is programmed to light up a warning lamp at 1200oF so my foot knows when to take it easy.

Re: L400 gauge
I put a boost gauge where the inclinometer was and an EGT gauge where the voltage meter was. Be aware there is some fidling-trimming-thinking involved as the original gauges are kind of built in so they need to be removed and remnants of the mounts need to be trimmed out of the way while leaving eno...

Re: The Microbrew Thread...
When I was in Halifax on vacation in 2008 I spent most days going apeshit over Propellerhead IPA. Have not seen it out in BC since so not sure if it still holds up against some of the new sexy IPAs on the shelves but it has a fond fuzzy place in my heart.
