replacement headlight lenses

I'm not sure what I have for insurance. I'm pretty sure it's just the basic package without any extras. I'd have to check my policy and see what it is. I don't mind paying the $950 per year, and I'm quite certain they're happy to have me because I'll never make a claim. As soon as I do that, I'm qui...

replacement headlight lenses

I'm in Ontario and pay around $950.00 per year. When I first considered buying a Delica, my old insurance company of 20 plus years told me they would not insure a right hand drive vehicle. Luckily Craig from Bonsai Rides knew of an insurer very close to me who had no problems insuring my vehicle. So...

Merry Christmas

Hello everyone, Just wanted to wish you all a Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year!! Thank's for all your help and advice over this past year. I know we all benefit from this site, however being mechanically declined myself, I feel I really reap the benefits. And I certainly don't take this for grante...

Transmission Pan Gasket Part Number

Hello folks, I'm currently in the process of replacing the kick down cable on my '93 L300. Well more specifically, I have a friend who's just about in the process of replacing the kick down cable for me. I've been collecting as many posts and pictures related to this topic from here and printing the...

Seized AC Compressor

Yes the A/C button was out and the A/C was off. The compressor was totally seized and I was unable to move the pulley once I cut the belt off. It's fine now that the seized compressor is outta the picture.

I'll deal with this in the spring now.

Tachometer stops in cold weather

If it's any consolation, mine has been doing the same thing lately. It always comes back to life once it warms up it seems.

Seized AC Compressor

That's a good point Chuck. My mechanic friend asked me what was in it for refrigerant, but I wasn't sure. I'm wondering if I can put this new stuff in my old system when I go to fix it? It will all be new parts, compressor, evaporator etc. I don't know anything about this stuff. I rarely used the AC...

Seized AC Compressor

I know the belt tension was alright, It's just the compressor that wouldn't move. Steven from Rising Sun Auto sent me an excellent quote on all the replacement parts, which is what I'll end up doing after Christmas. The van is 25 years old now, and its been the best used car I've ever owned. Steven'...

Seized AC Compressor

Hello folks, Recently I've been having issues with my '93 L300 when starting it up. Every now and then it would make a terrible screatching sound as though something was seizing up in the engine compartment. My mechanically declined fix for this was to immediately shut off the engine, wait a few sec...

Wet Floor Syndrome:(

Thanks Growlerbearnz. I checked to see if the stuff for the metal seam behind the headlights was urethane based. It doesn't say anything on the tube, but I'm sure what I've purchased will do the trick. I've seen some but not all of those links you sent, so thanks for that also. I found a link with p...

Wet Floor Syndrome:(

Hello folks, I'm working on doing the fix for the wet floor syndrome on my '93 L300. My windshield has a few pits in it, so I decided it would be much easier to do this fix by removing the windshield first and replacing it while I take care of this other job. I have a friend who owns an auto glass r...

Here ya go: http://www.fts4x4.com/en/products/?method=detail&aid=765 I looked at buying these, but they're pretty expensive when you factor in shipping. At least to Canada anyway. I love the fact that they're 100% functional, and look like a factory option. I'm getting a set once I win the lottery. ...

1993 L300 BlockHeater install

Yes, could you please post how you ended up doing this job successfully. I have the magnetic block heater on mine, and although it helps for cold starts, it's not great. When it's really cold out, I have to plug the thing in when the engine is still warm and leave it plugged in all night. The cost f...
