Hi! Looking to buy a 2002 V6 Space Gear and the shop I took it to for an inspection found a small engine oil leak (not dripping on the ground). The leak can be seen when laying down behind the driver-side wheel.
Hoping someone can help me shed some light on where this leak could be coming from. I...
hi guys, do you know why I my cold start are rough like that? A lot of white smoke with misfire. By cold start I mean cold engine, not freezing outside temp.
fuel pump was leaking, so a diesel fuel pump shop put a complete new seal kit.
the pump is not leaking anymore but I now have this problem....
yep, 1993 super exceed.
just put a photo of my van in my avatar.
im gonna try the glow plug test.
What would be the best product to remove the rust from the bottom panels? I know sandblasting would be the best but I don't think anyone in this region does it or have one.
So which products best to use and also, would you use rock guard or plain black paint? (Or even some funky colors)
Is it just me or is there anyone else that think the glow plugs should be all connected equally? Not with the little piece of metal?
If you look at the photo, this plug was the one connected to the power. Now every time, the one connected to the power, turns out to be busted....
Yes, I did changed all of the plugs and threw away the bad one and kept the old ones. Now I am just replacing the bad one with the ones I kept.
But again my main question remain. Is there anyone out there that connected all plugs equally with wires instead of bus bar.
I'm in the process of removing the rear AC; have all the controls and wiring out of the cabin. Next would be to remove the compressor, etc. from under the car. I've seen that there is a coolant line going into the AC and one coming out which is just looped back once the AC is removed. I've been...
Bringing this topic back.
Has there anyone that came up with a how to, with photos on removing the rear ventilation system? I would like to remove stuff that isin't working anymore. Even the a/c has not been working for years and have no need for it.
So I went out the other day to let the van warm up a bit while I got my jacket and shoes on, and it didn't start. Not the end of the world, I took the car.
Later, I was troubleshooting with my wife and discovered that she had filled the van and not put in any fuel conditioner. I figured the diesel...
Well, after 8 weeks (no fun with 4 kids and a Corolla) at a diesel shop that ended up not fixing the problem (but did still manage to cost us an insane amount of money) I took it to Peg City Auto. He tinkered with the fuel pump as well, and had it running, but he still wasn't satisfied with it, so...
has anybody run into their central locking system working in one direction only? My locks have decided they will lock all the doors.. but not unlock them. I have no signal on the passenger side or slide when going to the unlock possition so i know its electrical. The drivers side lock has a 1 pole...
I had the dash out the other day, and my central locking relay is a nightmare to get to- It's relatively low on the front panel, directly behind the brake booster. I confirmed its function by touching it while locking and unlocking the doors- you can feel it click.
*Post up what you did to/in/with your Delica today from mods to oil change to driving to teh beach to hauling wood. Stealing this thread idea from Minitrucktalk.com as it is an entertaining thread that just keeps going and going and going...
Today (and by today I mean last week) I had a custom...
And now it is safetied and registered and on the road... :-D
Need some help here. My steering became really stiff, it has been diagnosed to the part on the picture. You can see it underneath ( connects steering gear and steering rack), goes horizontally from front to back. Is this the intermediate steering shaft ?
I've read through all the posts on this and it seems there's quite a bit of info there on what guys with lifts have done for replacement shocks but I'm wondering what has worked really well for guys running stock height.
part #s would be great and I'm not...
our shocks are eyelet top and pin bottom for the front and pin top eyelet bottom for the rear right?
Other way round.
Fronts are pin top, eyelet with cross pin bottom (though you can usually install a cross pin into a standard eye mount).
So as I pulled into a friend's house last night I caught the whiff of burning antifreeze...
Checked under the seat and nothing from the top view of the engine was leaking. I couldn't get a good view of under the driver's seat though and I haven't gotten a really good look underneath to see a leak....
True. I think I'll go with a Quantico head out of Texas. I can get it bare and reuse my old rock/valves, but I'm looking on Partsouq at the seals and it seems like intake and exhaust are interchangeable but in the substitutions it lists a few exhaust seals..maybe just for a different vehicle? Or...
