Re: L300 Stretch updates

Hi ya'll, So, what's happened to stretch you ask. Well between a very expensive divorce and losing the Airport lease, (thus my home and income) Stretch has been parked. I had gotten the LT 2 (450 hp) engine installed and put the SAS up front. But alas the money has run out. As soon as funds become ...

Try Coombs Country Auto. Glen and crew support most JDM, but especially Mitsubishi.

Re: Any recommendation for the Kootenays?

Just finished taking the Grey Creek Pass earlier this month - mostly on a whim, it was there on the BCAA map as a dirt road, looked like fun. Turns out, it was fun! The LWB L400's might have a bit of time with it, but the shorter L300's and Pajeros should have no problem. We saw a Subaru Forester bl...

Re: Highway suggestions in BC?

Take the TCH through the Rockies, it'll be easier on the turbo. We took the No.3 and just about cooked the turbo and the head on our '92.

Re: Roof racks/camperization on vancouver island

I've had a couple of roof racks installed by All Season. The difficulty with the JDM's is their unfamiliarity with the various models, and so they would probably recommend a bolt-thru mounting. The expense of that is having to take out the headliner, which in a Delica would be prohibitive. I had All...

It's been a couple of years, and I still miss my '94 Pajero. Maybe someday I'll get another, and it'll be the Evo. Vroom-vroom!

Re: Pajero section

After there had got to be enough of us driving around, I had always felt it would be better served if we could have our own forum - similar to Delica Canada, but wholly separate - or at least have a section of our own on a JDM site (one for Delicas, one for Pajeros, one for Patrols, all under a unif...

Bad connections get better after you fix them, but a dying alternator never gets better.

Re: How to tell if vehicle has ABS?

Drive down a quiet gravel road, jam on the brakes, and if the brake pedal pulsates beneath your foot - ABS.

Re: CADA lobbyist

They would have to get NAFTA changed in order to exclude Mexican vehicles... And to the original poster, you're correct - this has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with safety, and everything to do with you and me being hog-swindled into buying new, over-priced cars. I just bought a used truck and saved nea...

Re: Beware..you can go into reverse at highway speed

Hyper-miling at highway speed is pretty much a moot point - you're not going to save that many RPM and maintain speed. Just take your foot off the pedal periodically and that will achieve the same effect. Sprint and drift, sprint and drift. And it'll be safer. It's generally only newer vehicles that...
