Re: Clear Lens Tail Lights $20

Yeah, they are, actually. Sorry, I haven't been checking the forum much lately. But I'll dig out the tail lights if you're interested. I'm pretty sure they're in a box downstairs.

L300 LHD!...Manual!..Gasoline!!!

I thought I had see a ghost. I was out for a run on W 3rd Ave just West of Waterloo Street, and stumbled upon a brown, L300. No bull bars. Sliding window on the sliding door (curb side!) Cargo rack on top. Maybe a 1991? Then noticed it's Left Hand Drive! And manual! Sticker on the fuel door says it ...

Is CVI still around?

Has anyone heard from Butch at CVI Automotive lately? I've been phoning for a month, and I keep getting the same OGM that the receptionist says, text this number, and I'll phone you back. I text, and no one's phoned me back. For a month. I was thinking maybe Butch went on vacation for most of Januar...

Re: Door Open Light on Dash blinking

My first guess would be the tailgate switch is iffy, but I also had a passenger or driver's door switch that was not making contact. Easily pulled out and clean the contacts. Remove the rubber boot with your fingers, and I think one screw secures it to the body.

Midnight Blue P25

I spotted a nice midnight blue P25 parked on Dunbar near 4th a couple of days ago. I was riding my bike to the grocery store, so cruised by to get a closer look. Upon inspection, the keys were left in the lock to the sliding door. To make it less of a target for mischief, I unlocked the passenger do...

Re: Engine Miss behaving !!

Just off the top of my head, I seem to remember something about a clogged EGR valve resulting in the dipstick being blown out. Look into that. Another test you can do...though the results may be unpleasant. Run the engine with the radiator filer cap removed. If it's puffing when each cylinder fires,...

Pajero IO?

I'm considering replacing my Delica L300 with a Pajero IO (and don't say don't do it, the Delica is dead and gone).

Anybody here have a Pajero IO and can tell me about owning one?

Any Pajero IO for sale?

Re: Where to get an Alignment?

Give Minit-Tune, by Granville Island a call. They changed the rotors on my L300 and I was happy with them. I don't know if they do alignments, but they worked on a Delica. See what they say. It's odd to consider a franchise service centre for a JDM, but these guys are really trying to be good. And r...

Re: L300 sale price inquiry

What price did you end up selling it for? I'm in a similar position: '94 L300 P25, not running. Might need head replaced, $3200. Perhaps it's best to sell it "as is" to someone who wants to fix it and drive it. Was running great until it suddenly started leaking and smoking. What should I ...

Re: injection pump, shock absorbers, brakes, flex plate

I've replaced shocks, rear ones were a piece of cake. Front a little more involved. I think I posted that here, can't seem to find it to send you a link. But I had to compress the shocks with a nylon strap to get them in. Very pleased with my KYB shocks on the front. Monroe on the back; not my first...

Rear View Mirror Jiggly -- and how I fixed it

All of a sudden, my rearview mirror was all loose and jiggly — the one in the middle of the windshield, hanging formt he roof. I guessed after a decade of driving on logging roads, the screws that mount the mirror to the roof had loosened up. Went to tighten the screws, and all three were perfectly ...

what did you do WITH your delica today

This is kind of in between TO and WITH, but I bought one of those Electric Lunch Boxes, that will run off a cigarette lighter, and tested it out today. I had a hot meal sitting in the jump seat, with the sliding door open, next to a park, in the rain. I think I drove maybe 45 minutes with it plugged...

L300 Combination Switch.

On the way home my dash lights didn't go on when I turned on the headlights. Uh oh. I checked the forum and found this post. Good info that if the dash lights don't go on and the tail lights don't go on, it's probably the Combination Switch. Followed Falco's post and got it working again. Here's wha...

Oil Pan Leaking

You know what? This wasn't an oil pan gasket leak after all. This was the hint of the beginning of the Massive Oil Leak! Be afraid, be very afraid.

And check out my Massive Oil Leak post for more details.
