help! need engine 4g64 w
Early 90s trucks. I believe you have to swap some things like manifolds.

Check the condition of the fuel filler hoses too, #4 and #18 in the diagram. I have had these rot away and split on both of my vans.

What with the wife and four kids, the 26 ft trailer will be pulled with the F-350 crewcab. There was a guy on the forum that modified a full-size hightop to fit his Delica. Maybe try searching "hightop" and see what comes up.ELPATO wrote:A camping trailer that will be pulled behind the Van?

Been busy getting a camping trailer roadworthy for an upcoming trip and completely forgot about this. These vans pop up for sale up here on occasion but I haven't seen one in a wrecking yard in a long time.

As far as I can tell the van/wagon wasn't specially modified for the US market, US spec mods were concerning installation of our big ugly bumpers. There is an additional extension/reinforcement welded to the end of the frame rails extending into the plastic bumper covers. Spotted this van the other...

Re: Lets wake this forum up a bit!
There's a possibility I may be doing a Toyota/Mitsu meetup in Tacoma Wa this month but it's likely to be somewhat spur of the moment. If it happens I was planning on posting in the US events as well as here.

I would be interested if teamtestbot is not. I could use a few of those parts for one of my vans. In particular the camshaft , belts, and water pump. We'd just have to figure out shipping to Tacoma, Wa. You can PM me with your prices. Thanks

Hey, I often check in here and see nothing going on, so I don't post. Today it made me wonder about the rest of you - if you do the same and don't bother to say hello. Hello! I've been doing the same thing. I'm hoping to get a little r&r time in a couple weeks so my son and I can go camping whi...

Re: Heads up! Ebay listing - '89 Wagon
I was a little surprised with the asking price and the repairs done that the engine compartment and underside weren't cleaned up a little more but, then again, maybe that is cleaned up.

Re: The Van makes a 2000 mile road trip.
That's awesome it did so well for your relatives! Too bad about being gouged for the repair though. This must be a common issue as both of my vans need that hose replaced. The shop must charge $1000 per hour. It's just not that hard to replace and bulk fuel hose would be more than adequate. Maybe si...

Re: German 1989 L300 build
His thread on expedition portal is nearly identical to this one. He posted in July 2012,"This was replaced by a VW. Will be for sale soon..." and August 2012,"Yes it was replaced. The L300 did get a really worse fuel mileage. The VW is bigger and needs about half the fuel, it also is ...

Re: Random minor maintenance stuff.
Thanks for the tip on the oil light power wire. I looked at my injectors and oil pan the other day and the injectors look the same although I re-read one of Yokohama's posts and realized he was referring to mid 90's Eclipse and Galants as having "blue top" injectors. Both my vans have the ...

Plamen, I don't know if you ever figured this out but I was intrigued with your comment about a lack of extra connectors for your missing IACV so I took some pics of my disassembled parts. The circles show the IAC valve and it's corresponding plugs. DSC02193.jpg Here's another view. DSC02195.jpg The...

Re: Random minor maintenance stuff.
Are you referring to the plate on the van or does yours have one on the engine also? While my '90 came with a 4G64 from the factory, the actual engine is from a '90 or '91 truck. For what it's worth, when I first got the '90 it had a faulty injector and I swapped it with one from my '88 with no issu...
