Converting from Automatic to Manual: Manual gearbox rebuild

Hey Y'all. I know I just asked this somewhere else, but i'm gonna ask again just in case it attracts any more attention. Does anyone know how hard it is to replace the input shaft bearing. Guys at the transmission shop told me you had to completely disassemble the tranny.

Stickyl clutch couldn't get it out of gear tonight

Yeah, dang boot failed earlier this fall... So i knew the seals would go. I think it's odd that it only lasted five or 6 years and less than 80,000km I'm thinking i should maybe find a better quality one for next time.

Growlerbearnz In your earlier post it looks like you're recommending that when you replace one cylinder you should replace both? Why is that?

Ahh yes, Leaky slave cyl. Mucky muck fluid spurts out. How fast do these things fail once they start to leak?

I think you are likely right Growlerbearnz. The fluid level is real low. We're headed outside now to try and bleed the air out of the system. I added fluid twice yesterday. Clutch sort of works. A bit tough to get it into reverse and first still. So time to try a bleed. My buddy says to just bleed i...

Stickyl clutch couldn't get it out of gear tonight

My clutch pedal started to hesitate to come back up a while back. I thought nothing of it. Today it actually didn't want to come up one time, so without thinking i slipped my foot under and popped it up. Then things were fine for a bit. next thing I know i'm trying to parallel park and I couldn't ge...

Sticky Clutch Pedal

Hey, I just started having this problem, and then a little later I the clutch stopped fully disengaging. Like as in I could not get it back in neutral without turning off the key. Sooo I was hoping maybe you might have an update on your situation that could shed light on mine?

Re: IS there a filter screen on the l300 delica where the fuel arrives at the IP?

Here's a link to a picture of the inside of my IP: http://imgur.com/UmI2ZMR Replaced the IP, and it runs good. There was a ton of crud in there. Coating everything. I ran a concentrated dose of injector cleaner/ clearance priced snake oil through it for a while so that might have contributed to the ...

Re: Sudden loss of power.

Thank you so much, good to know. It really seems to be more of a heavy load smoke show. But then it does smoke pretty good. I really feel like i did a bad job on the timing, so i kinda want to get one those dealies. But maybe i ought to check the max fuel screw... because that sounds much less expen...

Re: Sudden loss of power.

That was not a very good picture. Here is the original: http://imgur.com/UmI2ZMR I actually did check all those things - aside from running the turbo with the hose off and checking under the rocker cover (a good idea since I put a new head on about a year ago and completely forgot to seat the valves...
