I live a couple blocks away from you, seems like you may be new to the neighborhood, or possibly just recently acquired a Delica and (I believe) a Toyota Hilux?
Saw the 'MitsuMaple' on your L400 so thought you might spend some time on here...

Re: '93 Super Exceed Alternator?
I would suggest save some $ and some hassle and find someone to rebuild your existing alternator. Most shops will even give you a warranty on the rebuild.

Re: Suggestions on Roof Baskets
I got a fairly robust roof rack/basket from Maximum Overdrive last year. I love it. I keep the weight as low as I can, but for big bulky stuff it is the best - lawn chairs, shade tent, table, solar panel, plastic tubs filled with camping gear, inflatables, etc, and sometimes the propane tank goes up...

Re: Camperizing The Delishhh??
I made a simple bed from recycled 2x4s and plywood, and use a foam mattress from our old tent trailer. I remove all the seats for the summer camping season. The design is simple enough that I can take the bed out in the fall and put the seats back in so we can carry passengers in the winter.

Body Lift?
Hey all
Has anyone heard of (or seen done) a body lift on an L300?
I would like a bit more fender clearance to allow for bigger tires, but I don't think I want to mess with the stock suspension by doing a suspension lift. Cost of a body lift would be much less expensive too...

Re: Turbo Talk
Yes, you will hear the turbo when you boost. A very addictive sound! When I boost? What am I doing to boost? Stepping on the pedal hard? Going up a hill? I hear my turbo sometimes, but it is not consistant If you don't want an EGT gauge i would still highly recommend deleting your EGR valve. Also y...

Turbo Talk
Hey everyone, Wondering if anyone is a 'Turbo Pro' and can offer some insights. I am curious about my turbo charger. I am also not interested in installing a boost gauge or exhaust temp gauge. But I would like to know more about my turbo and how to keep it happy. Some main points I am curious about:...

Delica Milestone!
Well, on a trip from Calgary to Edmonton on Tuesday morning, I turned the odometer past the 200,000 km mark! I bought the van in August 2010 with 136,000km on it, so that's about 64,000 I've put on it so far - not bad! :-D So, let's hear from the other members! How many kilometers on your beasts?? I...

Re: Alternator false alarm?
I had a similar situation, and I would echo the other guys in saying it likely is the alternator, and although it hasn't completely failed yet, it is probably on the way out... Better to fix now than get stranded somewhere later. Most cost efficient solution is to find someone who can rebuild your a...

Wondering the same thing on my L300 - or, rather, what is the largest tire I can run on my stock height L300? Slight rubbing could be tolerated...pdgranola wrote:Can 30" tires be run on a stock L3 or 400 without any rub/clearance issues?

Re: considering buying a Delica
How are these for heat in -25 weather They are fine. Not super-warm, but I've never had much of an issue in my 3 Alberta winters with my Delica. If it gets really cold, you can guard the rad with canvas or cardboard, which helps keep things a bit warmer. To aid cold weather starts, just plug it in ...

Exciting! Be sure to post some pics of your new ride.
Why the switch? Seemed you were very happy with your L300
Enjoy the coast! I hear they don't get winter there like we do East of the Rockies....

Re: Bad oil leak
So, just wanted to finish this thread off and report back. My delica is all better now! The crank seal had actually popped right out, that's why it was leaking oil so bad. Also, the valve cover gasket (which was recently done by a west coast mechanic :-( ) was also leaking... no further comment on t...
