Reviews of mechanics on the island / Victoria
So most people know that Coombs is the place to be for delica service on the Island. I'm there quite a bit and have also frequented CVI. I have had some seriously bad experiences at Marigold auto and so have friends. Just wondering if anyone has other recommendations for Delica service in Victoria. ...

Re: L300 in whitehorse, glow plug issue and now no start up
oh and I don't have answers to many of those questions chuck black I'm not particularly mechanically inclined it a 92 delica exceed with 230k on it. Yes the relay is clicking every time. Works as it should on start up consistently, but also clicking on/off now and again while driving.... an annoying...

Re: L300 in whitehorse, glow plug issue and now no start up
Thanks so much for the replies, I've worrying a lot about this since it can be hard to find a mechanic who's willing to work on such things up in whitehorse. The starting issue may have been unrelated, cleaning up wiring over the pump seems to have cleared up starting but glow plugs still come on in...

L300 in whitehorse, glow plug issue and now no start up
Hey all, Looking for a hand with diagnoses. Just made the drive Victoria to Whitehorse. En route, glow plugs were turning on and off randomly while driving very regularly (or at least the click and light suggested so). However I had no option but to ignore it until Whitehorse. Once along the way the...

Re: Delica engine on it's Deathbed (92 Exceed)
Thanks for all the replies! I've found an engine bottom end up island. And think I will try and replace the crank etc instead of an entire new engine. I'm considering moving the operation up island as well for a variety of reasons. But not sure If I will attempt to drive the 2 hours with my sketchy ...

Delica engine on it's Deathbed (92 Exceed)
Looking for a little advice as to how to deal with the recent death of my 92 Delica exceed engine. I took it in to Marigold auto for a oil change with only complaints of a subtle squeek. i thought was a loose belt. When they noticed a rattle in the engine, I had it inspected. Originally it was thoug...

Power and heat options?
Trying to sort out heat and electric for this coming winter. Besides my twin bed put in last week, all I need for comfort is power for my laptop and an appropriate heater to take the edge off the coldest nights of winter. The current plan is a second deep cycle battery mounted behind the drivers sea...

Couldn't be happier with my new ride!
It was my first vehicle purchase and having such a honest and friendly seller sure made the process easier on me.
Thanks so much David, I'll take good care of her.
