I've found the L300s have quite a turbo sound. The L400 with 4M40 (and my pajero) make much less of a turbo sound.

I know I had... many... problems at the start of last winter. My bus bar wasn't connected to my glow plugs, which I only found out when putting in my new glow plugs. I put on a new temperature sensor too, but I suspect the disconnected bus bar was 99% of my problems. I put on a 'polar pad' (~$100).....
