Re: Locate the Recreation Site

Larry Sorry to hear you're not doing well these days. I hope you're feeling better soon and can make that oxygen work at fishing altitudes. My father had an oxygen cylinder he hauled around that i called R2D2. That always made him laugh then choke. I usually got a swat after all that I've had 3 shor...

Re: Locate the Recreation Site

That looks like a very interesting site. It took me quite a while to find it but BackRoads maps GPS does help. I've added a map for those of us who don't know the island to well or have never taken this type of adventure. I couldn't find the second location but it is likely just as remote. You seem...

L400 heavy duty rear coil springs $50

I changed my rear coils by mistake and the old springs were still good. I bent part of the rear suspension but thought the springs had drooped. Easy to install.
Pickup in Coquitlam please. thanks

Re: Power window fix

If your windows need help up or down try lubing the front and back door tracks the window slides in. Usually the windows stick in the rainy season but a little grease in the tracks is all they need. No door surgery needed. All three of my delicas have needed this fix.

Re: Where to get an Alignment?

I like Mike now at Grip tires and Alignment in Port Moody. 604 461 2345 2625 St Johns Po Mo. He's done my alignment a few times after ball joint etc. changes. He used to own port moody alignment till they tore down his shop to build a highrise. i haven't used him since his move to Grip but expect he...

Re: Rebuilding a power steering rack

I’m wondering when removing/installing the rack do you need to remove the steering knuckle & disconnect the cv axle on one side, or does it slide out with only the tie rods & other connections disconnected. Manual seems to imply it pops out pretty straightforward …. It doesn't come out easi...

Re: Rebuilding a power steering rack

Good write up guys. Just went through a year of rack problems till I had mine rebuilt by Randy at Steering Solutions 9785 192 st Langley 1 877 513 9813 randy@steeringsolutions.com A month after the rebuild with lots of backroad driving it's still holding up well. FYI Randy is not a steering rack fa...

Re: L400 exhaust

Delica diesels don't have catalytic converters or oxygen sensors so I would guess there's little similar including size. Only very modern diesels have cats and sensors. Why are you changing your exhaust? don't throw anything away, I may need it. Do you know the type of stainless in the gasser exhaus...

Re: Lift Kit for Van

You won't get better handling and control from a lift kit. You will get a higher delica and be able to climb through rougher terrain. You will need more ball joints and other front end parts. Raised delicas are hard on front end components and a few rear end parts as well. They do look better raised...

Re: L400 3.0 V6 best battery

Best talk to a battery shop, lots of them around. Remember the posts are on the opposite side and slightly smaller/larger than North american posts and clamps.
Change out your interior lights for led.
