Re: VAN STOLEN in qualicum beach. canada day.

well, there's still no word from the police. now I'm dealing with icbc. we'll see what happens. i'd much rather get the van back.

Thanks you all for the good luck wishes, and kind words.

VAN STOLEN in qualicum beach. canada day.

I'm attending Summit school of guitar building and repair. All the other students went out to the bluegrass festival in Coombs, but i'm not the partying type, so i stayed at the shop late to work on the archtop guitar i'm building. I woke up this morning, started pouring my coffee and one of the oth...

Re: uh-oh. (heating/defrost problem)

i have brought the van into ace auto electric here in winnipeg. they had never seen a delica before, and were quite amused by it and eager for a challenge. one hour after bringing it in, they called and had found and fixed the problem. apparently there was a shorted out line behind the battery. they...

Re: uh-oh. (heating/defrost problem)

I absolutely checked the fuses, every last one of them. there was one that may have had a hairline, so i replaced it. no dice. Thank you "manitoba deli" I'll give you a call in the morning and see if we can arrange something! I'll likely head over to the place you suggested, as i'm very ti...

Re: uh-oh. (heating/defrost problem)

Thanks, Luna sea! But i already skipped town with one of those 99 dollar POS from crappy tire. you were right. useless. returning it tomorrow. I made it to Winnipeg, and having regained feeling in my toes, i can now starting dealing with the MAJOR problem that arose on the way here. you see, my &quo...

Re: uh-oh. (heating/defrost problem)

Well, it's not the fuse. After much fussing about inside the dash with a handy wiring diagram provided by the previous owner it seems that all the wires are going where they needs to be. (although i don't have a voltmeter to check for sure) All the mechanical parts of the heater control seem to work...

uh-oh. (heating/defrost problem)

it cot cold all of a sudden. and with the cold came a weird grumbling clatter when i turned the heat on. now there's no air at all coming out, or even weird noises. So... it's cold, i have no heat, and i have to drive with the windows open to keep the windshield from fogging up. I'll replace the fus...

no conversion necessary for WVO?

I've been reading up and collecting parts, getting ready for the big jump into the world of WVO... and today i stumbled across this: http://biodiesel.infopop.cc/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/159605551/m/8181043922/p/1 apparently 20% unleaded GASOLINE and 80% clean WVO will healthily run an unmodified Diesel En...

rock guarded my bull bars.

I learned so much yesterday! -Mitubishi really wanted me to keep that plastic bit on the front. how many welded brackets and bolts? for basically an advertisement? -angle grinding required hearing protection, eye protection and long sleeves. next time i'll be grinding on a not brutally hot day. - ne...

Yay! I found the wire! but alas it's intact. That means something else is broken. something not so simple. figuring out how to check the bulb today i guess...
thanks nishby!
bikes are so much simpler. you can see almost all moving parts from one point of view. and there's no bloody 4wd light.

Re: Why should one put in an EGR blanking plate?

thank you, i get it now, and i need one. there seems to be no drawback. why didn't they make them like this? I will be contacting the appropriate fabricator. even the 40 dollar ('a bit steep') pricetag seems like a small price to pay for such benefits. again, thank you for humoring the terminologica...

Re: 4wd indicator switch/sensor
