Re: Started normally, stalled, then won't start.

Update on Friday 25 Feb. IT STARTED!!!!! So for the first time this week, the temperature warmed up to above zero. I just went out, and going on the theory that the transmission interlock switch/sensor had been frozen, I turned the key a bit, then ran the gearshift through the gears from 2 to P a ha...

Started normally, stalled, then won't start.

EDIT. I got it started. See first reply ======================== Short version: In -18ºC temperature, it started as normal in that temperature. I drove about 5 feet, and it stalled. Also normal if I don’t keep the revs up. But then it would not start. Not even turn over, just a click of a relay. I n...

repair in Edmonton???

The sumarus link gave me nothing but a blank screen.

I'm now very interested in a shop in Edmonton, because I'm moving there in the next couple of months.

Re: Gibson Girl.

I very much doubt it has actually been floating for 70 years. No barnacles, no rust or corrosion. And what's with the zip tie on one of the strap bars. Cute story, neat to see the inside.

Hi John. I come out to Big White every December to do communication for the Big White Winter Rally (car rally). You should come out for it, we need more Delicas there!

Re: Inuvik or bust by expedition Delica

Well, we killed a lot of mosquitoes on that trip. Didn't see any black flies (but you never see them, do you?) or horse flies. I don't think there were any of those up North. I'd love to get one of those stickers. How do I get one?

Re: Inuvik or bust by expedition Delica

Thanks. It was, and is still remembered as an amazing trip. Hard to believe it was so long ago. A couple of years ago, we did a trip down to the Grand Canyon, and came through Yellowstone on the way back. That was also an amazing trip, too bad I didn't post a journey log of that one. We should get t...

Re: Post your call sign's HAM's

You have to keep the vehicle height in mind at all times. I have a sticker on my dash that gives the vehicle height in various configurations, in both feet and metres. I'm 7'10" with just the roof rack, and all the way to over 12 feet with the CB whip. Almost all my antennas are magmounts, so t...

Re: Pro-Active in Calgary - cautionary tale

I'm still happy with Kirkham. I just had them upgrade my L300 front brakes from single piston to dual piston calipers by using the 92 Montero brakes. It was more complicated than the posts on various forums would lead you to believe (you have to replace brake hoses with longer ones), so it took long...

Re: Rear Hatch Struts

I had mine rebuilt by Strutwise in BC. I told them I had a Terzo ladder and lived in cold climate. After more than a year, the hatch still stays up, even at -30C.

Re: Fusable Link Wiring

Sorry, I don't have any pictures of my single battery setup. But it is a Group27, turned sideways from the way the 2-battery setup was. Positive on driver's side.

I gotta do something about my fusible links too, one of them is stretched pretty tight.

Re: Low fuel indicator light

My indicator light apparently doesn't work. Ran out of fuel today. Put a jerry can's worth in and after cranking a bit it started. Now why would the light not work?? I believe the light works on a different circuit than the fuel gauge. And since unlike many other warning lights, it doesn't come on ...

Now you know! Your profile shows you are in Fort Mac. Do you really fly down to YYC, then walk to do a Timmies run?!?!?! :-D

Here's one of a Buff landing, backing up to its touchdown point, and taking off again. All in 1 minute 45 seconds.
