Re: Stranded in Steamboat CO transmission siezed
Here's a link to all vehicles Mitsubishi made that used that part: http://www.partsbase.org/parts/mitsubishi-md725078/ , Looks like it was used in a couple of Mitsubishi US models, '83-'91 Montero with the 2.6l engine and rear leaf springs (model L042G) and the '86-'96 Truck with 2.4l engine and 2W...

Re: Stranded in Steamboat CO transmission siezed
Clutch fixed, transmission was pooched too so was being rebuilt with km145 guts but the input shaft is too long. Need part# MD725078. Anything domestic compatible?

Re: Stranded in Steamboat CO transmission siezed
Second shop says trans is fine but the clutch is gone. Any domestic vehicles share a clutch? Mechanic says the gas Montero has a different clutch from its diesel counterpart.

Re: Stranded in Steamboat CO transmission siezed
It's siezed in 4th. 1,2,3,5,R don't engage. Found a shop willing to work on it but they haven't looked at it yet. So I'm probably looking for a rebuild and a clutch kit for a 1989 Montero(?). Is there something available domestically that has a stronger 5th gear that would work?

Stranded in Steamboat CO transmission siezed
Currently in Steamboat Springs Colorado with a siezed transmission. Looking for a 5 speed V5M21 transmission for a 1989 L300 or whatever is compatible. Also looking for a mechanic or transmission shop around steamboat that isn't scared of delicas.

Re: Nelson Delica Owners
Hi Naterade,
I'm in Nelson, I have had some work done at downtown auto, midas and OK tire. If I need anything substantial I drive to vancouver or get parts mailed. Lots of delicas here but not a lot of delica.ca forum members, might have more luck in a Nelson soccer mom forum.

Re: outside air vent switch broken
If you take the glove box out you will have a clear view of the cable that controls the flap. After you take the glove box out move the lever for outside air and you should be able to see where it came off.

Re: Larger tires wrecking inside of sliding door
If its just rubbing the door skin you could peel back the vinyl cover, cut out a notch in the masonite where it rubs and staple the vinyl back.

Re: What is missing?
I believe it increases idle when AC is turned on, I removed mine along with the rest of my AC things with no adverse effects. 'AfterOil's malfunctioned at one point and kept the throttle stuck open. http://www.delica.ca/forum/accelerator-stuck-open-on-the-highway-9999.html Check in the hatch behind ...

Re: Not starting
I've tried jumping it to no avail. I pulled the starter and tested it and everything is ok on that front. I'm just trying to find the starter fuse. I found the alternator fuse running off the positive terminal of the battery. There's another box that says ignition, lights, lock and defrost. But no ...
