Re: Cold Lake, Alberta!
Another good source for the Alberta members that I can vouch for is http://firstgeartrade.com/ Honest, professional work, and not scared to work on anything Japanese. Leo is the contact and can get parts locally or from Japan. Great to see more sources coming up for the Alberta members :M Hope it he...

Re: Any experience with SASTRAD KK?
That's unfair to Steve at Sastrad as clearly he didn't export a 02 Eclipse to Canada to you and you mixed his name up with someone else. There's no chance to import a newer than 15 year old car to Canada from Japan and Sastrad doesn't sell cars from the states or other countries. I had a negative ex...

Why don't people like Delicas in Alberta ?
Always kind of wondered what it is. I personally love them and am drawn to them, but every time I bring one in to sell it just sits for way too long and nobody is interested until I basically give it away. I have the exact opposite with the other vehicles we import (right now over 20-30 per month).....

Re: repair in Edmonton???
I'm opening a service centre here in Edmonton in the very near future where parts and service will be available to all Japanese imported vehicles, along with OOP inspections, etc. Just so sick and tired of the lack of service in Edmonton and Alberta in general for anything outside the typical everyd...

Re: Vehicle specs, auction prices, & current available vehic
I just linked up a secondary auction site for anyone who wants to use it http://auctions.jdmconnection.ca/
There's a lot of improvements from the previous one, and that one is still available if you prefer it.

Re: JDM L400 RV camper
These come along now and then in auction. Too much in price in my opinion, but there's some really nice other options in Japan that are much more affordable.

Re: Serious problems with IBC Japan
Everyone here is right. A weak battery or charging system in general often needs to be changed once arrived. Sometimes we're unfortunate to have it fail in transit, but it wouldn't constitute filing a return claim to auction. They would just reject it immediately, especially on a 15+ year old vehicl...

Re: Waste gate
Lubrication can't hurt with the actuator. Especially if it doesn't get driven a lot. I always make a habit of doing this on a turbo vehicle when doing other maintenance such as oil or air filter change regardless if there's signs of problems.

Re: My quest for a proper Delica here in the USA!!
So my dream of a real Delica may be getting closer to reality. Just last night my contact in Ontario bid, and won on an auction for an 89 Delica for me. Just need to have it shipped to him, and wait until August when the the van will be legal for me to import under the USA 25 year rule. I am very e...

Re: Canada 15 year import review?
This is really old news. In short they tried to change it, people stood up and proved them wrong about the safety aspect and now they just said they are going to review it and if there's a issue will look at it.

Re: What if there was a JDM publication from Canada?
Jim, we should talk offline about our knowledge of the print industry could prove very beneficial. Psi: Point taken about low turnout at Ikea...but thats why a publication need to have a broader audience. The skylines, Subies and Hondas make a fair larger chunk of Canada's JDM import market....but ...
