Re: Cab Heater Fan Intermittently working.
The fan for my front heater died too. I checked behind the glove box but I didn't see the fan housing, is it a different location on the '94 model?

Re: L400 alternators in Nanaimo
Thanks Mardy. I'll probably pick up from CC Auto, seeing as they are on the Island. I'm still trying to make sure that I need it replaced. I was taking off the wiring bolt and it arced. I assume this is because I charged up the batteries and it is still connected. So I started it up to take a look. ...

Re: L400 alternators in Nanaimo
Thanks Glenn, sounds good. I would like to be running sooner rather than later. I have been out of town since it died, so I haven't had a chance to pull it out. Is it relatively straight forward? I've changed the alternator on my L300 before, but I don't even know where it is on my L400. EDIT: think...

I'm a little late to the party, but you can always stop by here for a fillup if you are in the Nanaimo area. I've got 2000L filtered in my shed right now.

Ahhh, do you work for K&N??? Just kiddding, that's great you saw such an improvement. Do you think it was because you old filter was so clogged, or is it something special about the K&N filter (other than their cool logo)?

You're right, I am the type I'm not sure if you saw the time stamps, but I'm not the only person commenting on this thread. I think I kept the thread going for all of 30 minutes. Opps, my bad......(see it is not so hard)

So hard to hold my tongue on this, Konadog is right, I really should just be panning this tread as I have nothing constructive to add, but.... Firesong, you gotta admit you stepped in it a little by going off on a request (even an unsolicited one) by a fellow broad member to help fight cancer. Serio...

Re: L400 fuel filter
Do you have to do all this to drain the water from the filter? It looks like you do, but I thought I'd make sure there is no short cut before I took everything out. BTW, what happens if you drive with the water in fuel light on for a long time? Will the filter clog, or will water get into the engine?

Re: Water in Fuel light with WVO blending
Thanks for the help. I know 60-70% is getting pretty greedy for this time of the year. I just haven't had the time to install my kit yet, so I thought I'd see how far I could push it before I got hard starts. I think after this I'll back off to 30-40% and see how that goes. I just hate burning more ...

Yeah, I thought it would probably be under the intercooler, thanks. I'll have to wait until I drive home tonight to take care of it.

Water in Fuel light with WVO blending
I'm blending fairly rich in my L400 right now (60-70% WVO) and the water in fuel light just came on. What should I do about this? The van is starting without an issue, which is a bit of a surprise given the temp outside. Do I need to drain the water from my fuel filter, if so, how do I do that? I ha...

Re: please help troubleshoot!
x4, sounds to me like a WVO delivery issue. The only thing I can suggest is look for restrictions on your WVO line, check your WVO filter, pull off your WVO line before it hits your fuel selection value and see if the fuel is actually pumping out with your aux fuel pump running. I can't tell you how...
