My 96 Exceed will not shift from 2nd into 3rd when it's cold. The problem goes away after 30k or so of driving. So there appears to be a terminal on the engine side of the injector pump with a cable attached. I have to assume (risky) that this cable goes to the instrument panel and is available to hook up a tach in the dash. Now I need to find a donor for an instrument panel.
