Best source for brake parts?

Resurrecting an old thread because I still haven't found the parts I need, I hope someone here can help. I have a 1994 L400 (Series 1) LWB with a stuck brake caliper on the front right. I need to find a part number Lordco can use to get me a rebuilt caliper. I am in the southern interior of BC and t...

Question about tire

94 L400 series 1 LWB.
Rarely off road, but we see our share of snow. Heavy loads often.
Came to me with Grabber AT2 235 75R15 - 90,000 kms ago. I keep them at 40 psi.

Love 'em. Just ordered 2 more because I ruined 1. Not because they wore out; lots of life yet.

Swivel front seats for L400 ?

Be careful about what seats are being talked about, ie: front (driver, passenger) vs middle row captain chairs.

I did the mod to the middle seats. Very happy.

Making the front seats swivel would be far more work and of no benefit to me.

Re: Best source for brake parts?

Thanx Guys

I'm in the process of moving to the interior and there is a Lordco 2 blocks away. I got the part numbers from Fitinpart.com.

I'll report back once I've received and installed them

Re: Best source for brake parts?

What year of Montero pads would I ask for? Looking for front pads for my 1996 l400. Part number would be great. Thanks Can anyone supply the answer to this? Or tell me where to look? I need to replace the brake pads on my 94 L400 LWB. The only other time I needed brake work was in Mexico and it was...

Re: Who has a second battery installed?

Like this? http://www.expeditionportal.com/forum/threads/77503-How-to-make-a-cheap-isolated-dual-battery-setup-for-50 Essentially yes. But I chose to have an SCR controlled by a push button to connect the 2 battery systems (at my call, rather than having it on all the time the ignition is on) set s...

Re: Who has a second battery installed?

The username you are using now is fine. I assume you asked the real Saul Goodman for permission… ;-) L400 batteries… Stock L400s come with either one or 2. If you have 2, they are not isolated and meant to work together. If what you want is a battery that you can use without draining the starting ba...

Re: Transmission issue, maybe not

Problem seems to be fixed now, thanx to Steven and son at Rising Sun. They replaced the speedometer sender. Still don't understand the strange voltage on the TPS but it shifts fine. The downside is that they noticed the coolant overflow tank is leaking. I replaced that about 3 years ago with what I ...

Re: Transmission issue, maybe not

No matter where I move the TPS I get a reading of 4.95 VDC

Now I wonder if I have the correct instructions...

"From the blue with red wire to battery negative should be .78 volts"

Is that correct? If so, I guess I need a TPS...

Transmission issue, maybe not

Hi Folks; An unusual thing happened yesterday. It seems my transmission is getting its signals wrong somewhere. It seems to shift from 1 to 2 fine, but most of the time won't shift into 3rd (or OD). Once while driving on flat smooth pavement it felt like I was on washboard. I think this was rapid sh...
