Re: Winter tires

Never used LT tires, just odinary ones - I prefer Yokohama G-071, G-072 standard size 215X80X15, you don`t need wide tires on ice.

Re: fuel system leak

As far as I know, after years it doesn`t work properly and lets the air into the system. It is a common problem and we usually just replace it.

Re: fuel system leak

so, I've been having a bump and chug (white smoke) start in the morning for quite a while. I've narrowed it down to air in the fuel system somewhere. This last weekend, I proved that, but was unable to solve it just yet. I'f I prime my fuel filter (alot), I can here a slight air leak(constant strea...

Re: L300 Sliding door - Lock Stuck!

its not that big of a deal to remove the interior trim on the door. you can then get at the lock mechanisms and spray them with WD40 or what have you. be gentle with the trim or the tabs will tear it. it might be worth your while to get the right tool to remove the trim... This is the best way to d...

Re: Hiace haters

Toyota Hiace with 1KZ engine is considered to be "King Of Vans" in Russian Far East, comfort, reliable engine, 4WD, but it has no harisma. It is very popular, but the price... A lot of delicaowners are hunters & fishermen - that means bad terrain & Hice has nothing to do with it. T...

L400 is probably the best bet for reliability.
According to more experienced members who dealt with both models it is 100% opposite.
I would agree with Profister. L-400 has it`s issues & quite a lot. We have thousands L-400 in Vladivostok since 1998.

Re: RHD Article

Why I am not surprised reading this article? Different country - same story. Our government tried to forbid RHD vehicles since 1993 till nowadays. I've read a lot of such crap. Nothing new: same arguments, no facts, no statistics, nothing real, just words... I live in Vladivostok, 99% vehicles are R...

Re: Nicknames for Diesel Vehicles/ Delicas

When L-300 first appeared in Vladivostok we called them "Dolphin" (may be because they were blue-white colour) L -400 is called "Bulka" (i.e. "loaf") "Pig", "Elefant".

Re: L300 Price drop in May?

I have no doubt about it. Also after trying a Pajero II it is embarrassing to feel powerless on a 'brick' L300. :-( L400 will take over L300 in Canada the same way as everywhere else. It is a matter of time only.[/quote]May be, maybe not. We`ve passed through this dilemma :-) L 400 has it`s "is...

Re: Virgin Delica Owner

May be you`re right. When I bought my first one, I was driving about 10000 km a year and now I`m making 30000 km a year. But 1997 had 99000 km. Here in Russia (Vladivostok especially) if you say 1991 van has 55000 km NOBODY belive you.

Re: Virgin Delica Owner

It means about 3055 km per year. Is it possible? Some of these Delicas don't get driven much in Japan. Which can be good or bad, depending on whether it drove one 50 km trip each week, or it sat for months at a time. Can`t understand that. Why one should buy a van and drive it 50 km a week? Or don`...

Re: Virgin Delica Owner

A little bit off-topic, but... 1991 and 55000 km... how it can be, I wonder? Van is about 18 years old - but 55000k??? Can`t understand that. It means about 3055 km per year. Is it possible?
